I could not help but think of the children’s fable of the tortoise and hair, slow and steady wins the race. Some beautiful wax you got out of there, and 180° is a great temperature to render wax. God‘s peace brother.
I do me wax by color for different uses, white for lip balms & yellow for lotion and cream, gold for candles brown for bees and black for compost, alien peace bee brother!
Thanks for the idea. I use a chest freezer to freeze frames and warm honey. I added a second heater element for melting wax. What wax I had laying around is now in convenient blocks.
Love your music timer. 😊😊That melter looks like a great idea! I would be more comfy using a metal pot instead of the plastic bucket. If it's too hot to hold, might be ready to let loose and that would be ugly.
I wish I could have used that video with the original songs. Yeah if had to get any hotter I was going to get something else. Ive poured boiling water into them with problems, but was still kind of worried. I thinking about making a larger meta tray like the one in the solar melter and also a metal catch pan.
It worked pretty good. Can you tell me what thermostat that is?. Mine is an aquarium type and only regulates up to 108f and reads up to 140. I have a dorm style frig that just broke that might be good for this.
@@josephrawls I was logged on to Amazon, but it acted like it was looking up an order number & could not find it. (Your temperature controller link did work when I tried it as a test though.) Regardless, I was able to search based on the description in your replay. I thought it was some new fangled light bulb I had not seen before. For just honey warming, how well does the one heat lamp do for initial warm up or after you add a bucket or two? And for recovery after opening door? The white one is also 100 watts? You using the same setup in your "Coke" honey warmer?

LOL ! At that temp it melts faster than it cools back down.
That puppy does the job! We really like the look of the one that came out of the sheetrock pan.
Thank you. I think Im going to set up a melting pan to drain into the pan.

Great video.
Thank you.
Thanks.
Thank you.
Good video
Thank you.
180 is dangerously close to the point where you'll discolor it. It'll light on fire if you go above 205. Melting point is 150ish so don't go past 160
This is 180 F. The flash point of beeswax is 399.9 F which is the same as 204 C.
@@josephrawls right. 185f is discoloration territory though... 185f or 85c. Melting point is still 150f or 65c
@@eidodk That's good to know. Thanks.

I put it in the description . Second from the bottom.
Thanks for sharing Joey!! Always good to have good tools out sleeve!
Well now it.is the third from the bottom. lol
Joey, your heat lamp link did not work for me. What was it that you used for the 2cd one?
You may have to be signed in to Amazon. I had someone else try it and it worked for them. That link is for the black heat lamp.
