I had my first session yesterday and will be doing the full 12 weeks. I have herniated discs and would love to update anyone who is curious about this treatment as I continue to receive it. The first session was mild but I could definitely tell something was happening in the treated area. I became a little sore afterwards but that is to be expected, since pain almost always accompanies healing.
Had "a" session? I wouldn't think that "a session" was the prescribed treatment. Multiple more than likely. Anyone that knows even kindergarten level anatomy and physiology should understand healing takes time and often gets a little worse before it gets better. There is also a big difference between trying to get a tendon to 'heal' and just giving 'pain relief'.
As someone who has dealt with chronic back and neck pain and has received many different types of treatments, I have come to understand that pain almost always accompanies healing. That's just how the body works. It's the same concept as when you get a deep cut and the area becomes more painful, swollen, and itchy as the body works to heal it. It's a very natural thing. I had my first Softwave session yesterday and it did, indeed, cause me to be more sore afterwards but I took that as a good sign that my body is responding appropriately to the treatment. I could tell something good was happening within the treated area shortly after they finished. I will be doing 11 more treatments and I am very excited for this one. I love trying alternative therapies that don't require drugs. They made it possible for me to avoid surgery.
Why would you trust a nurse. 8ts not like shes a Dr. And coming from someone wwhos had 3 major back surgeries and both knees operated on. This does absolutely nothing. Minimal relief at best but doesn't last. Its only a bandaid
