Thanks for the uploads and taking the time to continuously give as much as y'all do. The amount of lightbulb flickers you give my brain really raises the attention span i need to build my business concisely.
In the realm of copy moving towards the future. People forget to understand copywriting, in it's esscense is a medium of engagement with the user designed to derive an idealistic response. Even if there comes an AI that collates exact user data and writes statistically optimal copy, the natural response will be the evolution of expression. Drawing directly from my experience in the UX/UI space, copy is hugely evolving in our current day. There's some people i've met in design spaces that have contributed to designing product pages for corperations such as apple and dji. Asking what's at the core of their most successful designs, by any metric the answer always ties back to one thing. The design uniquely engaged the consumer in a way that resonates with the consumer's core individualism with relevance to the product relating to the cta/idealistic response. Relating back to copy writing, where people get edged out by AI. Copy writing skills translated to more engaging forms of expression will likely still provide greater results than said AI.
That's awesome, here's a variation to your idea generation approach that could be interesting. The AI engine is stronger at evaluating than generating, so what I've found to be helpful is defining some metrics and asking it to score its ideas out of 10 for each of those metrics. You can then ask it to improve its responses to score better on those metrics and use those metrics to evaluate iterations of your idea further along the conversation.
thanks for the video, great insights. I am a beginner copywriter and use chatgpt and Claude to review my copies. Chatpgt usually is more supportive of my work and Claude says it's rubbish. Which one can I use or should I use this way?
I use it in the same way like a person I collaborate with and to help me organise information. I think really creative tasks will be done faster but still need people for a while yet. To help refine the results.
I think your thoughts on using AI can help us bad copywriters know what to ask and how to get the results that a great copywriter like yourself will find good to use in an ad. I mean it also doesn't have to be about any of your brands, a hypothetical example could do. I know you aren't like a course seller or sorts that have time to create videos for views. But I know this might help some of us. Appreciate you and blessings David and the team much love from Nigeria
Fully, use it for market research, use it to mimic other great copy, ask it to review its own copy for weaknessse, then I add my human touch to it. Wbu?
I’ve found writing out my copy as some sort of draft email and then using Grammarly AI to improve it, which I get pretty useful and clear results from. Hope this may help someone if writing isn’t their best skill 🙏
People are missing the point of this technology. Do you want to use an abacus or do you want to use a calculator? Stop being afraid of it taking your job. Adapt or die. I welcome it and hope that it takes all the low-hanging fruit and squashes it. This is the way of all innovation. It still takes humans to input what is being asked of it so until that part gets replaced by actual robots doing it you have nothing to fear.
why it makes me feel kinda motivated or something like that when I watch your videos or may be it's because you helping people especially copywriters, I don't answer for that but yah thanks...
Chat GPT will never hold the same value that humans do when it comes to writing copy. There's no underlying value in the AI's words, no nuance, just "alright" copy. It will never excell.
any advices for closing our first copywriting client as a freelance? getting my first client is the most difficult thing in my copywriting journey, with your vision we understand that copywriting is key for your business but not everybody have your vision so it's difficult to convince people or to get them interested in the first place while prospecting
Hey man, should I reach Fiverr or Upwork for a copywriter and what criteria should I look for? Like how do I know if they're good other than the reviews, or what questions to ask. English is not my first language.
AI is a great tool for research. I use it to help me research the bad and the good about a competitors products. and give me the reviews on a golden plate

That is the best way to use GPT in my opinion. Just chatting with it, take the response and build something on top of it instead of starting blank.
