Incredible Trip down Memory Lane!! Being almost as “Old” as The Mummy, I remember MaCungie…used to be one of the Best shows around. Video made me Happy to relive….I found most of my collection “back in the day” at shows that no longer are even close to the way they were or even exist any more !! Toledo Toy Show, Pittsburg Toy Show, Rochester NY ( RATS ) even Brimfield used to be Busting with Toys !! So THANK YOU both….This was awesome, keep up the Fantastic “WORK” !! LOL !!
Were you guys going to Maungie when they had the huge outdoor "Toytown" show in the field? The outdoor show and both school buildings had toy shows. They had bus rides that would bring you from the Toytown field, up to the schools. The bus also went to the car show. The field also had food trucks and a police officer to cross the crowds of people who chose to walk to the school shows. Those were the days!! The things that came out of Toytown were mind blowing.
Das Awkscht Fescht! Bringing back memories. I grew up going to car shows/flea markets with my folks. We used to camp in the fire house field over near the post office. I remember when there was the beer garden where they served sausage sandwiches and brewed birch beer right there. Getting fries and pierogis from Smitty’s (I think?). Looking at the arts and crafts in the tents and building. And of course the car show and car parts flea market - the main reason we were there. Rhinebeck, NY every… May? Or June? Macungie every August. Bennington, Vermont every September. Hershey every October. Spring and/or fall Carlisle shows added in.
Hey, I've still got my pet rock, 80s version, makes a damn good paperweight, lol Not wrong about your mate's stall - he had heaps of nice stuff. Lone Ranger holster set @ 9:37 😍 Right, I'm off to watch that robot museum video...
I returned from Korea in 1994 and came back at the tail end of the Pog craze. I also missed entirely the Wendy's Clara Peller "Where's the Beef" commercials because I was in Korea all of 1984. BUT I was around in 1985 at Ft Campbell, KY for the Burger King promotion "Where's Herb?"
Haven't done one of those yet since we're moving this year, everything is currently packed up and not really on display but once we move and have it set up it will be on the channel for sure 🧛
I just remembered you guys saw a toy or bank of a guy shooting an arrow at a little kid not knowing what was going on and I wanted to "Tell" you who that character was. Maybe someone else can "Tell" you
I can do your story one better, in summer of 2010 I passed on a hard bound 1st edition The Shining that was 30.00 near mint Now that damn book low end 200.00
