The RAF changed out the Lancaster main wheels on their RAF Lanc wheels with Handley Page Hasting wheels as they are the same wheel size, end the aircraft now uses these wheels and tires instead. There tyres are still manufactured (I think) by Dunlop in the UK.
A very big THANK YOU to The Canadian Warplane Heritage for allowing us to see your Lancaster gracing the skys in the UK something l thought l would never see
All right Mikey I think it's great that you took your dad where you did for Father's Day and also that you actually flew for the first time for yourself with your dad that makes the two of you that much closer in bondage okay this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida stay safe God bless and have a great day
As i saw Joe in the Hanger and my first thought was omg i dont hope that he dont think about to buy that old warplane for Buffalo Airways🤣 But it was pretty nice to see Joe´s smile. Best episode from all !!!!
It's interesting that I have a problem with heights but not when i'm in an airplane. I'm an airplane and flight nut through and through and since my earliest memories and nightly dreams were filled with flying. I'm 65 now and regret not following my dreams, now I am not healthy enough to get a license . I did fly (steer) an ultralite seaplane for 1 1/2 hrs over a lake as well as went on a fam flight in a C 172 , both pilots asked if I had previous experience and commented they thought I was a natural, so much so that the pilot let me land the 172 with verbal instruction. Time of my life...... I lost my Dad a number of yrs ago and Mikey is lucky to share quality time with his father like this. Your a good son Mikey
I've been a Commercial Pilot for nearly 45 Years and it's just as exciting now as when I was 20 years old in learning how to fly. I had to scratch, scrimp and save for those hours just to solo. That Your Pop is an Aviator of the highest order and just now getting You in the cockpit is a labor of love. I pray You don't deprive Him of this because He's taking a lot of Fatherly Joy in this undertaking for You. He will teach You much to cultivate a passion I hope You complete to share with Him in this fourth quarter of His Life. In time I hope You remember Him as You pass on this privileged legacy You live and work in and are able to teach another Young Person, Son or Daughter what it is like to see the world through the Eyes of an Eagle....!
Spoke to a pilot that was in a program that re enacted the dambusters raid. I asked him what it was like flying the Lancaster he said "terrifying. I took a left turn and lost 500 feet and a fat chunk of its speed" lol
most rewarding episode i ever watched,,,,,,good on you. making memory's is wat life is ALL about just, peeps seem to forget, it is UP to them to make em.
To see & realise that it was because of the Plane like the Lancasters, Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mosquitoes, Mustangs etc & the brave Crews that Piloted them, they all are responsible in some way for the freedom we now, all enjoy. RIP to all the National & International Crews & thank you for what you did for us.
A bit of trivia : The Avro Lancaster has a very long bomb bay, and load capacity. At one stage in the war, the Lancaster was considered as the Allied bonber to deliver the A-Bomb over Imperial Japan.
NO WAY, JOSE!!!!! I would pass out in the elevator....I had problems with the San Francisco s hotel elevator....AND elevators in general is another phobia
I live in the uk and drive trains for my local railway museum. Whilst doing that a few years back l had this Lanc and the UK one fly right over at very low level one the way to my local airport. Will never see that again though often get the Uk one going over my house when it stops at the local airport one the way to various shows. Fantastic noise from those lovely engines.
Dad would have to be the most rugged aviator on the planet flying in the north day in day out in bad conditions . The constant verables he has to adapt to .
That Lancaster is four P-51 Mustangs hitched together if you're trying to imagine the sound. Kind of a shame Joe is sour about old planes used for fun at airshows - that is what gives the impetus to keep them flying and keep fighting the bureaucrats that are trying to clip their wings. Love the Canadian Snowbirds - different sort of show compared to Thunderbirds and Blue Angels plus the pilots are friendly to all ages of autograph seekers instead of snubbing adults. Love the Younkin Beech B-18 - it does a heck of a night show too. Guilty as charged airshow nut with EAA Airventure Oshkosh (or Oshkosh Fly-In if you prefer) practically in my backyard.
I'm a single engine land guy but have over 2000 hours. Twice I flew with a group that uses Marcetti 350s which NATO uses to train their pilots. I got sick as a dog both times. Flying a few feet away from each other after hours/years of keeping separation was just too much for this guy. Neat airplane, fun to fly when off by one's self, but that formation stuff is just crazy.
I enjoyed the airshow segment, but when the Merlins did the flyby, the background music should have been shut OFF. Merlins and Allisons have a music that needs to be heard.
I would never do that ever. Never ever. I can’t even ride kiddie rides at amusement park. I’ve had to take anti nausea meds watching this at times. I get motion sickness.
I hate Glass Elevators, or leaning over the top of a tall building.... but give me the controls on an Airplane, and I will bank it over to 60* for the fun of it
Mikey or someone who will alert him. Vertigo, where did my Vertigo go? Physical Therapists Brad and Bob on RUclips. They demonstrate the Eppley Maneuver. It works.
What can I say that will benefit us? Listen, ask questions, listen and ask more questions. Be a witness to our elders. Our elders are who went before us. They don't have to be veterans of war, hot or cold. Aviators or land lubbers. Just ask them. Most men/people will say they were "just doing their job." Know our elders so that they can open their hearts, fears, hopes, limitations, aspirations. Most of our ancestors aren't heroes. They were just living their lives.
It's a real pleasure ,to see a man who's not in the slightest afraid to show his Dad how much he loves him. Well done, Mikey!
The RAF changed out the Lancaster main wheels on their RAF Lanc wheels with Handley Page Hasting wheels as they are the same wheel size, end the aircraft now uses these wheels and tires instead.

As old as those Episodes are... I had to smile the whole time seeing Joe in those old Warbird and the Snowbird... man that must have been awesome!
I’m always watching for a new episode. It was so cool to see Joe smile and tell Mikey thanks Good to see he has a fun side too
A very big THANK YOU to The Canadian Warplane Heritage for allowing us to see your Lancaster gracing the skys in the UK something l thought l would never see
There is in Windsor,Ont. Being restored. They have no plans to Fly it. Bummer
That was great seeing father and son bonding like that!
Gotta love Joe! This episode shows his character so well!
Congrats Mikey! You look good sitting in the left seat. Pops looked pretty cool as well!
All right Mikey I think it's great that you took your dad where you did for Father's Day and also that you actually flew for the first time for yourself with your dad that makes the two of you that much closer in bondage okay this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida stay safe God bless and have a great day

Absolutely FANTASTIC!
This show got me into aviation when I was 12-13. Going to fight school next year!
most rewarding episode i ever watched,,,,,,good on you.

He said you ain't gonna fake a big O up there... I'm dying 🤣
Beautiful and precious!!!
I have a 35 year old son and know those special moments only come now and then , awesome

I had a severe case of squirly willy just WATCHING everyone walking to the edge of the tower!
This was great! Reminded me of the many times my Father would take me with him. Loved it, thanks.
What a lovely treat for Joe!
whatta perfect father's date gift ...
well done Mikey...!

I've seen most of the episodes, but this is possibly the best.
I live in the uk and drive trains for my local railway museum. Whilst doing that a few years back l had this Lanc and the UK one fly right over at very low level one the way to my local airport. this is the best show in the world
Went up the CN Tower 20 years ago with my kids. They loved walking across the glass floor. I couldn't do it.
Well it’s in my anniversary calendar…I finally saw Joe smile!
That is one of the most awesome videos I have ever watched
Fantastic..Love u guys.
Just fabulous!
The best show ever- no breakdowns- oh hang on, yes the B12 had to have a plug clean. The term hang on came from clothes being hung on a clothes hanger
15:39 Is that a pitot tube cover? why is it on with engines running?
Being a former resident of the Niagara region, I remember seeing them flying this old girl around , what a site it was.
It must be so nice to have a Dad like Cpt Joe
great episode,love to all
Looking forward to a 3rd Lanc flying soon, NX611 Just Jane in East Kirby

Joe looks like Chuck Yeager with more hair. With the flight suit its even more resembling
I enjoyed the airshow segment, but when the Merlins did the flyby, the background music should have been shut OFF. Merlins and Allisons have a music that needs to be heard.
Awesome episode, but they skipped the part where Justin Simle announced his departure from Buffalo Airways.
Awesome
Those 12 cylinder Merlin's used lots of oil, which makes me think plugs fowling out is a pretty common problem.
Nice one
Thanks. Ey.
I would never do that ever. Never ever. I can’t even ride kiddie rides at amusement park.
I’ve had to take anti nausea meds watching this at times. I get motion sickness.
I have a B12 Plane, trench art ash tray that was made during WW2 by one of the gunners who was my dads uncle
That air show was in 2013 if Joe was born 1944 and he was 69 at the time
You would think the military could have given dad the stick on the Lancaster .
hell no, I live an hour away from the CN tower , you will never catch me doing that out side walk
And the Lancaster plane is from the UK England and the Spitfire plane
💖💖💖
Nice to see Yellowknife has a nuke missile (aka ICBM) at the airport. Can't seem to get away from being a target, even at a small town in NWT.
👍🛩

Should have a top gun 3 Tom Cruise and BUFFALO JOE saves the world
Don't be so dame tough Joe.
The old man is 14 days older than my Pops and lived longer. And my dad never smoked! So.. live your life, fools.

Mikey, Get your license and Fly a DC3 while you still can.
I feel so for Mikey. What was the sh*t my pants count?
NO WAY IN HELL WOULD I GO UP THAT THING NA
2013
Mickey needs to get rid of some weight, right Mickey?
What Mikey did takes real courage. He didn´t think he was brave, hahahahaha, that is bs, my friend.
I didn't care much for the fathers reaction.
I can't believe Mikey is Joe's biological son because Joe has big balls when his grown son has marbles.
The number of advertisements is absolutely infuriating. Do something!
Tell wonder...he's the one putting so many ads in the video
The Lancaster was built in 43, and crashed in 42... LOL
No way in h*** you get me to go out on an edge like that on a little broke f*** that s***
