Killers get a 100% lunge only in the Bloodzone while Survivors grunts of pain are muffled and their blood vanishes faster when in a Bloodzone. I forget if it's for the first 20 seconds or while you're in the Bloodzone.
its not in the bloodzone, its while the bloodzone is yours. the 20 seconds is the time that the blood is blocked from being taken from there

Aesthetic is gorgeous, but mechanically, it's simply okay. I much preferred the events with the rifts (teleporting) and the snowmen.

Same, and 7th year event was very fun with fake (dream) pallets that required stuns and killers being able to use one of three abilities to break a pallet, expose a survivor, or proc a temporary enduring.
I really liked the rifts as survivor. But as a dredge main they destroyed his power completely

I dont think that was the intent, its all just red the events aren't similiar to me, Lights out had no perks and limited visibility. This is just all red, so you cant really see scratch marks cause its all red lol. I still like the aesthetic of this event, and the cosmetics are cool too. The mechanics are whatever to me though.

What a relief. I was wondering if I was being selfish for being so underwhelmed by the event. I went into it so pumped and after my first match, I thought, 'this is it? This is what BHVR hyped constantly for over a month? There's nothing here. It's just an ad for new paid uncustomizable skin sets with a slight BP boost that we have to grind for!?' Then I felt guilty like I was somehow asking for too much. I'm glad it isn't just me.

@@el_chapolman5023 I played less before the event to avoid burnout and kept my BP maxed for the bloodweb items/offerings. They literally said it'd be the fastest, best BP event ever. BHVR had me ready (and excited) to waste so much time in the fog.... I've played 2 matches on both sides total since Blood Moon started. Straight up deflated my hype so bad that I just don't even care to play right now. And this all happened before they turned off the event specific offering. Bummer.
i've noticed a pattern. when something is overly hyped by the devs, it seems to just flop
I also felt the same, honestly! Started playing almost the same hour the event started, but I really felt very uncertain for how underwhelming it seemed to me - so it’s a relief to hear that other people do share the same feeling.
@@vietbluecoeur Absolutely! I mean, it's still a bummer overall, but it seems there's more of us on the same side for this botched event. It's rare for DBD players to agree on anything. Leave it to BHVR to finally unite most of us in apathy towards their own game.
Notice how lazy the events are getting, how there's been at least 1 PAID character killswitched almost all of 2024, how maps have been breaking more than normal, how the servers have been losing connection more or connecting you to other continents, how even flashlights were recently killswitched for a time, etc., *but the shop is refreshed weekly with $10-$18 cosmetics and has never had more than a banner typo through all of it?* The shop is far more important than the game.
Thank God. This event is underwhelming while rewarding players with almost no blood point multipliers. Anniversary is infinitely better. They even kill switch the event item. What in the actual fuck
I literally get like 60-80k each game compared to the normal like 25-35k. Seems like a nice multiplier to me
We’ve only hit the second goal as of like half an hour ago. The bonus will get bigger as the event goes…that’s the point
I got a survivor 70k and I 80k when I didnt play fully nice. It's literally getting boosted as well. You have no right to complain about getting points.
I just got around a 125k game myself a few min ago, granted it's with the games regular 100% bonus on top of the 150% event bonus. So I believe that game was like a 250% bonus. (Don't grill me if my math is wrong it's been a hot minute since I've done math)

Only BHVR would make an event centered around blood point boosts and make getting that boost in a normal game feel impossible.
Also having to killswitch an offering for your own limited-time event is so sad, and yet so BHVR.

@AlsoMeowskivich Its because I cleared most the challenge within 5 games. Which takes like 1 hour and a half. So unless the dude is turning the event on for the first time they aren't doing the event. Trust me everyone is getting their challenges done.
Took me an entire game to even figure out what the event mechanics were for killer. I kept reclaim the droplets bc I thought I was stealing them from survivors putting them down. Turns out you can just pick them up to move the circles to better places
Killers deserve to be able to use the blight serum *at least* every event, it is so much fun and waiting a whole long ass year just to be able to use it for mere 2 weeks is depressing...

My biggest issue with the event. I have slight colourblindness the red hue washes out all scratch marks and I just can’t see anything.

I was wondering why the killers were making me feel like i was a master at looping. They kept getting lost after i looped a rock

They said in the livestream that the colorblind settings were checked and adjusted before the event started to make sure that everyone can participate - already had a game on gas station and i struggle on this map/realm bc its just too green under normal circumatances, so with the bloodzones i knew it would be difficult to see so i changed to a cb mode at the start of the match and had way less issues 😅
That Ending is why i stopped playing the game. Survivors can grief all they want, with tbagging after pallet drops etc. But if you are carrying a survivor who has some wiggle perk, his friend sabotages the nearby hook, so you drop the survivor cause there is literally nothing you can do at the moment, you are (according to the survivors) literally worse than hitler and stalin combined cause you DARED to slug one person in the middle of the match.. like.. wtf ?
You can also just, kinda like... ignore them.
Or better yet, shrug and laugh, say GGs, nothing gets on their nerves more than knowing they didn't have any effect in dragging you down to their level.

The difference between killer toxicity and surv toxicity is killers can actually win and be toxic at the same time, survivors throw the game if they all decide to be toxic somebody has to do gens and if no one does killer win anyway.
Top tip: Don't chase survivors who are clearly after you're attention coz they most definitely have boil over windows sprint burst or some other bs find the guy doing gens in the corner and fold him.

Idk whether it’s just me (probably is) but every single event in dbd, my games just feel a lot sweatier, idk if it’s just cause ppl wanna win and get BP or what🤷♂️
It's the same for me too, everybody on reddit always talks about how they get the nicest killers that just want to farm or they get survivors that just want to mess around, but when I play I get the sweatiest killers in existence and the best survivor team there could ever be, I hate it.

What I hate is mistaking the blood with scratch marks.
This event feels kind of... rush? I don't know, I think that maybe if the Droplets gave player a boost (maybe healing a survivor after 30 seconds of keeping the droplet or giving the killer the ability to exposed survivors by using said droplets) it'll be kind of fun... Right now, I'm just farming whatever I can (especially since the event offering is bugged 😅)

Since it's a big ass red moon they could've at least add it to the sky and a apply a slight red filter to all outdoor maps come on behavior.
Red/green colorblind people would struggle. That's the most common kind of colorblind out there. Red/green optional settings in this game are kind of garbage too so it'd just be a lose-lose. That's why they removed so much of the red fog/coloring in Borgo (Knight's map). Poor gamers couldn't see a thing in either mode.
I still have trouble on borgo and when it first came out I went from a terrifying killer to a blind bat.

I feel like dbd is better played when you play the game more casually. The developers are moving in a more "fun" direction rather than competitive. I think it's just going to take time for them to experiment with events and abilities for it to become less stressful and more fun.
That’s why I only play against bots pretty much as killer 😂😂 saves you a lot of headaches from 4 man swfs with coms

In one trial last night I discovered that crouching right next to one of the fragile fountains made me invisible to the killer. I completed a gen despite three visits from the killer just by moving a couple of feet and ducking next to the fountain- the killer stopped at least twice to look directly at me, but somehow did not see me amid the red clutter. They even downed a survivor right next to me, and I swear they would spot me during the pickup, but I was just completely obscured by red clutter.
On my next trial, as a killer, I even had difficulty tracking gens.
Mechanically, it's 'meh'. Graphically, it's a total mess. Did they even bother to play test this?

i like using the bead add on for maps that let you put a marker down --let people know what im doing or where im going. just hella loud though LOL
i decided to play some blood moon event tonight and it was an interesting event there were some issues in regards to the 'blood zone' where i thought that if you are within the blood zone that killer will not be able to trace/locate you when it has been activated by depositing the blood droplets that the killer was still able to take me down regardless if i am in the blood zone. and i find the difficult blood moon challenge would be the one where you have to stun the killer to steal the droplet as i'm unable to fulfill that challenge to get the 50 blood trinkets and i need your help on how to do that spooky. but overall, i am enjoying the blood moon event and collecting all the blood throughout the matches in game. still has some disconnects and network issues in game. and i feel that this blood zone is not the greatest and needs more improvement.

This event, while also exceedingly underwhelming, so far has only been a harsh excuse for killers to play like absolute douchebags for some reason. The influx of camping, tunneling, slugging, BM and after chat insults is honestly insane. I don't ever care about taking sides, since I have enjoyed the game playing both sides equally since 2016, but after the start of the event, playing survivor has become, virtually, impossible in 80% of games.

Hey @spookyLoopz I was wondering what you thought about my Unkown build I run (Hex plaything, hex retribution, hex undying and ultimate weapon) and it seems to work pretty fine survivors can counter it but tend not to because it’s an anti totem build!
The blood zones are fairly Small and the rewards for doing so other then a Very Small 100 or 500 bonus blood points to Certain Actions, it just feels that besides the effects given while in the blood zones, there is no Reason to placing them down except for those physical bonuses not the economic bonuses.
Yeah I really hope they fix it before the event ends, I just bought sable and I’d really like to not have 19 eyes that I will never be able to use in my inventory. OCD kills me.
I swear to God, I had 30min game as killer in a swamp map because it's hard to see tracks and blood. Also, everything is fucking red with this event and survivors' blood fades fast.

I do like the blood altars design wise.
This event is insufferable. Everyone is incentivized to play like greedy jerks and the blood circles and glowing red effects make it way too difficult to track survivors. The lunge feels more gimmicky and situational than anything. I'm running Coup just to make the lunge more useful in circles and Unrelenting, and STBFL also feels necessary even though it's the worst its ever been. I see people on reddit saying they're happy to farm this event "after my 8 hooks" like that's super easy to get without playing like a dick and with all of the "anti-tunnel" mechanics.

i have been getting at minimum 50k bloodpoints a match. i assume that doing objectives inside actual blood zones greatly increases points? but i am not sure haha.

As a killer main I’m flexing on survivors. I’ve been playing nonstop spirit so when I down people in blood zones I can feel the salt pouring in.
The errors in offering code, the 7 days to wait for challenges that are already created. And cosmetics for characters that recently recieved license cosmetics or are about to recieve license cosmetics. ^ ^ this is what is wrong with the event.
What went right about the event. Blood basins mechanic that can benifit the killer and survivors simultaneously increasing the chase times for newer survivors and giving killers with lots of hours free coupe de grace to asd into their builds. Perks remained active allowing for interesting combos of iron will or coupe de grace. Blood basins will better help killers if the blood is places on loops or near the killer shack and the blood basins closer to generators benifit survivors and dead zones are neutral helping both killer melee farther and sruvivors can find a quiet place to heal.
Killers seem to be enjoying this game event less due to them not getting shortened bloodlust timers or the fact the maps are red with blood so scratches became harder for them to track. Or the fact that the only event item they can collect has been disabled do to bad code.
Give killers event items for invisibility or a free lethal persuer everytime they drop blood in a basin

Took me a while to realize that the killer doesn’t steal droplets from players, it’s so you can move the Blood zones to different areas of the map.
At least the challenges are easy.
Got the first half of the tome done in just 2 hrs.
And the Oni cosmetic looks dope.
Now just gotta do the last section of tome 18 while I wait the 5 days for the new challenges.
Had a full team of survivors run up to me trying to farm blood points by a zone (I killed them all)

I believe the Mikaela was cheating I speculate the flashbangs were created by hacks as you can effectively make around 14 flashbangs in a trial with no kicking of gens at most, even if gens are kicked it would mean all gens would have to have regressed to nothing at least once but this efficiency is barley possible judging by the gen speeds. 2.) the way she was not staggering when falling was suspicious. 3.) after a Sabo on the hook while carrying the ada the discrepancy with the blind was definitely not the game and If you time Her the moment the animation starts and the moment the hook drops it is less then 2.3 seconds which is the time it take with no toolbox and evidently no other perks to improve the speed of it when using saboteur.

As a new person to the game i really need events like these that give lots of bloodpoints
I have yet find a chance to actually use the survivors blood moon power to lose the killer or hide from the killer.... tbh both effects suck for both sides, but astlwast I've been able to get value from the lunge on killer.
What's sad is I actually like the blood event mechanic and wish it was just a part of the game. It's neet giving both sides extra buffs

Killers get the extra lunge for a few minutes after depositing the blood, it does stack with Coup too, so mikey has a 20 mile lunge now haha

Yeah he gets a 320% lunge, its hilarious
