♥🎀♥ December 19/2020 ♥🎀♥ Went to high school with all this lads. Seen them play in many venues over the years. Greatest punk band in Canada ♥🇨🇦♥ . Use to see Frankie at the park House before he passed. Teenage head had a massive loyal fan base. Always treasures, never forgotten. Frankie is now jamming with big guys. 🌬 🔥🎙🎶🎼🎯♥♥♥♥♥
My best friend growing up turned me on to Teenage head and man I loved it first full song I learned on guitar was Teenage head, seen them at the y108 picnic first and only time and they frkn rocked Hamilton to the ground , then shortly after he passed away . F##kin Bad deal just a f##kin Bad deal. RIP venom I can picture your face!!!!!!!
Last time I saw Frankie i was with my girlfriend trying to get a cab in a blizzard after last call, Frankie was being propped up by this guy who was telling me "This is Frankie Venom, he's a Star, you should let us grab that cab" I knew very well who Frankie was, and my girlfriend got ticked that I spent a lot of time considering letting him get that cab, because well It was Frankie Venom.. Hamilton Should have a Statue of Frankie Venom!! Screw the government funds - do a kickstarter.. Teenage Head are amazing!
Was that at rock & Roll Heaven on O'Connor by any chance? Because there was a huge blizzard after their show so I hung out with my girlfriend afterwards and had and a nice long chat with Gord Lewis, great guy
So sad :-( The day the music died. I grew up in the 80s seeing this guy numerous times over the years from Larry's hideway to Entex to the Hard Ball more recently. He was explosive and really gave it his best. RIP Frankie !!
Cleave Anderson from The Battered Wives and John Hamilton of the Diodes was on this Video..I remember Toronto being a Hotbed For New Wave Music around 1977..Awesome Place To Be!!!!
As Frankie was rehearsing for their first album I met Mr.Kerr not knowing who his son was and we formed a bond of sorts and he spoke of his son and from those conversations l knew Frank. Then one night in the mid 80s I saw this person I recognized drinking at the bar(it's Elvis)we all ended up playing foolsball this is when 1+1connected.Frankie spent that night talking of his dad and childhoods, Addictions. What I walk away feeling was the connection I gave Frank to his Dad and how much his respected his choices even if he felt otherwise. Was a great night for all concerned.R.I.P.
Medicine Hat here. Saw them the first time on mushrooms, after the gig, drove home, grabbed my lyric stack, went back barged in, they gave me beer, I read Frankie and the guitar guy my mushy poems. I guess the words were not good enough to nick from me!
fankie did have cancer but that wasnt the cause of his death it was his liver that gave out from the constant drinking i was very close with frankie and was always with him drinking was all he did and eventually killed him
I'm still shaken up by the untimely death of Frankie. Thanks for all the touching reminiscences from some of the memorable personalities of the Golden Horseshoe. But where's Paul Star?
Frank ,when I met him at Club Davids one of the first clubs they played, well we met, spoke, super fella...luv on ya..Lrry's Hideaway,The Edge,The Shoe,Crash n Burn....I hang my head in sadness ,even today. Bless you Frank and all those close to you. See you again one fine day. J n Da Girlz T.O. remember The Big Smoke? Ya know ya little...
I remember the first time I saw Teenage Head; we were all crazy, smashing beer bottles on the floor, Frankie went nuts on me. It was a love/hate thing but we always managed to have a laugh whenever I caught up with them at one of their shows. I got to know him better when I moved to Toronto, and I am sad to say that I just found out today that he isn't with us any longer. I was listening to Picture My Face and thought of him. Damn, life sucks. RIP Frankie. XOXO JBacteria
HELLO EVERYONE!!! STILL LOVE LISTENING TO TEENAGE HEAD? IF SOO THEN COME SUPPORT TEENAGE HEAD'S GORDIE LEWIS with LITTLE JOE & the WEREWOLVES Live @ the St George, Georgetown, FRI. JULY 8
Sorry, don't know Paul Star. It was very hard shooting this tribute to Frankie & only got people who were interested being on video. Lots of people passed because talking about Frankie on Sunday was just too difficult. That's why I'm not in the video myself.
