WOW they actually still have meetups is the UK. Meetups basically are nonexistent here in America. Everyone thinks they are too good for fun now and basically only cosplay at cons.

I cannot properly express how disappointed I am in my area. Literally once you've been on one playground, you've been on them all, except wait, this one is red and black guys, it's totally different from the green and beige one!
Nightfangfox there is one walking distance from my house and occasionally there is an undertale meet up there and we just fuck around on one of the rope trails that’s been made in the forest connected to the park in the trees

To any Americans like me, in Florida there is someone who has organised meetups every once in a while, her social media name is Lady Neuf, I'm not sure wether or not she still holds them, but I'm sure she would be happy to point you to someone who does
Also, I know for a fact she still holds con meetups as I was just at her latest one
you guys need to bring this back and i will be SO THERE i swear
Makes me sad that by the time I would be able to cosplay Homestuck and go to conventions would be past 2021 (because of school and family), by then, it probably wouldn't be relevant

Blue Geno this wasn't really a public meetup in that way, it was more of just a gathering of some of our friends! You can search for meetups on Facebook though or even arrange one yourself?

The next time a convention comes around in my area, I am going to it (my first time), and this video has taught me a valuable lesson: don't spend too much on a cosplay! At least I'm going to assume that because I saw that a lot of the things were made out of household materials and that you have to be very resourceful with your cosplay; that is unless you are going to be making it over a long period of time where you can accumulate a lot of earnings and deluge it out on all the materials you could ever dream of. But I think I'd rather keep it cheap for the time being since I'm rather young for the people that go to cosplays around my area, and I don't want to seem like I am a brat who's mommy and daddy buys everything for them, even though I earn most of my stuff with my own job T^T.
Edit: I also hope you had a lot of fun at your meetup! ps: what did the family do after the recording stopped on the second 'to be continued'? I really want to know what people think of others running around with gray skin and horns in a public area.
I agree that you don't have to spend too much! A lot of people think that cosplay has to be super expensive but (for me at least) I try not to spend too much! Charity shops and ebay are your best friends :) I try to spend around £30 per cosplay which I think is reasonable.
It was a lot of fun thank you! That family didn't say anything, I think they were pretending not to notice us tbh aha, but we did get quite a few people talking to us about it! They were all really polite and curious though, none of them were rude to us or anything! :)
