The next time a convention comes around in my area, I am going to it (my first time), and this video has taught me a valuable lesson: don't spend too much on a cosplay! At least I'm going to assume that because I saw that a lot of the things were made out of household materials and that you have to be very resourceful with your cosplay; that is unless you are going to be making it over a long period of time where you can accumulate a lot of earnings and deluge it out on all the materials you could ever dream of. But I think I'd rather keep it cheap for the time being since I'm rather young for the people that go to cosplays around my area, and I don't want to seem like I am a brat who's mommy and daddy buys everything for them, even though I earn most of my stuff with my own job T^T. Edit: I also hope you had a lot of fun at your meetup! ps: what did the family do after the recording stopped on the second 'to be continued'? I really want to know what people think of others running around with gray skin and horns in a public area.
I agree that you don't have to spend too much! A lot of people think that cosplay has to be super expensive but (for me at least) I try not to spend too much! Charity shops and ebay are your best friends :) I try to spend around £30 per cosplay which I think is reasonable. It was a lot of fun thank you! That family didn't say anything, I think they were pretending not to notice us tbh aha, but we did get quite a few people talking to us about it! They were all really polite and curious though, none of them were rude to us or anything! :)
