Looking back at this, I'm very proud of what I achieved during this time in my life. To think that I made this video with nothing but a shitty camera and a zoom recorder... Back then, that was enough. I was able to create my own inspiration, I was happy... Or, at least, didn't have so many problems. Unfortunately, sometimes life takes a turn, or turns. Nowadays, due to a mixture of mental issues and misfortunes, I'm too depressed to play and my skills have certainly decreased because of it. I wonder, where could I've been today, if I had only concentrated on this. Don't feel sorry for me though, know that I'm fighting everyday, that I finished my degree in Public Politics, and music will always be my passion. I will always try to come back, always.
If you're reading this, thank you for being here. Maybe someday, I'll post again. For now, I say goodbye to you and I wish you a very happy, successful and fulfilling life. I love you all

It just takes practice, Im 21 (Backwards) and have been playing drums for a year. I was really dedicated to them and im finally getting my first drum set (I used to only be able to play at school and for an hour a day). This song is difficult but once you get the hang of it it gets super simple

I was procrastinating when I stumbled upon this, I played the video and then my adhd brain’s attention slowly faded away from the cover as I just started to vibe while scrolling through my chat messages, then I realized I wasn’t listening to the original and that his was a cover so I just replayed the entire video again only to be amazed at how amazing your drumming skills are haha. I’ve always wanted to play the drums but I worry my parents will think of it as an instrument that is too “harsh”, they’d rather me play something like piano or violin.

I believe you should do what makes you happy. Your parents would understand, and there are ways to be less "harsh". If not, just to rent a studio with a drumset or pay for drum lessons. If you can't afford it, be patient and work on it! It is never too late to do something that's good for your mental and physical health
I understand everything you just said, even the ADHD. I get it. I play drums and it overwhelms me sometimes but I still love it. Go for it! Really. Good luck bro.
