You forgot to show the hidden extension cord to the neighbors house....
A tip for you. Your running real hot. Try this setting in afterburner. Power at 75%, temp 72, core clock 0 and memory clock 800. Im using the PNY gtx 1060 3gb with claymore miner. My cards run at 65 to 70 degrees and hash at over 24MH/s each.
delvis11 Completely agree. By undervolting the Nvidia cards, you can save on the electrical cost and extend the life of the card by keeping the temps down without sacrificing much if any in hash rate. I currently just have one GTX 1070 and it definitely helps keep it stable plus I don't have to have the fan speed up as much which keeps the sound down.
That said, from my experience, your money is probably better spent just buying cryptocurrencies and either just holding them for a while or actively trading them.
Mining is profitable. Just know when to hold.
It definitely can be. I'm just saying you could make just as much if not more faster by just buying them. Emphasis on "could", since the crypto space is so volatile and execution is everything, ie. now when to buy, sell, or hold.
I traded fiat currencies for 3 years. I think I broke even. hard to predict the future. I hedge for the future mining. HOLD, HOLD until it's high. Really I have little risk and a lot less stress :)
Mining is definitely a lot less stressful for sure. If the crypto you mine ends up at 0, you can always sell the rig. Buying you are just left holding the bag.
After you pay your energy bill you make 0$?
Nope, I still make enough. Both systems takes about 700W * $0.15 kwh = $105
Still, make 2/3 profit.
We Do Tech actually it's just $75 bucks a month.
Neo Klyptic, what drugs are you people on. 700W = $0.085. 700KW = $85
Multi thousand dollar mining rigs! where were they?
trevor jaster I call bullshit and these miners are why we can't buy video cards for our PC's ..these retards can't be creative enough to make money without crypto currency mining ..riding the braindead bandwagon
how do you set multiple gpus for mining? do you need to tweak the bios? or just plug and play?
Being old school I didn't know you could put amd and nvidia together. Great video
You won't get gaming performance but for just calculations, they work.
I was wondering about that as well. I also noticed no SLI bridge, I'm assuming that has a similar explanation as the 2 different cards. I've never tried running my cards without the bridge so I'm just a curious cat.
Robert Hance you cannot run 1060's in SLI. Instead if you want to go that route have to have at least 1070's
Only for mining. No SLI or anything
Bajesus44- Im not running 1060s (3-way 970's) nor was I referring to that.
I just wasn't aware you could make use of multiple gpus without using an sli bridge, let alone with entirely different gpus... Never tried either, thats why Im inquiring.
Matthew- Thanks, so bit mining im assuming is just using the gpus for a very particular process and not using the full function of them, which I guess makes it unnecessary for the same model on multiple gpus or to be using a bridge?
Maybe i need to read up on it, lol...
When you say you make x amount a day. Are you basing it on a 12 hour day or an actual 24 hour day 7 days a week?
People mine for the wrong reasons. Mining and selling your rewards immediately is insane. You're selling for very low pay outs just to bring in a little extra money? Why not just mine for a couple years, then when the prices of your coins are worth 5x more than they are now, you sell then and make some real money. I mine ETH, ZEC, ETC, UBIQ, Nicehash (BTC), and I don't plan on selling anything until the prices are too high NOT to. My day job pays the bills. Not my coins.
Why do people buy and sell stocks at only 3-5% delta? This guy uses Bitcoin mining to pay the bills because it is a passive income that just so happens to be very profitable. No need to work full time when passive income pays the bills and part time can cover your other expenses.
Arctic Line Also no need to ever work again if the value goes up exponentially on what you saved.
Use excess income to improve mining system. This compounds interest on the coin itself. Keep some in a reserve hardwallet as a sort of savings account.
In other words, you're an investor so act like an investor.
Good luck with that. Let's see where the price of ZEC, UBIQ and the others are in five years. Too much risk to hold 100%.
Why not enjoy some of your rewards before you're too brittle to actual enjoy them. What's the point in having $5million in coin if you didn't cash out until your 70's?
I really don't get all the misplaced hate on everyday people just trying to make a little extra cash. It's not everyday people who caused the price rise or shortage, it's the mining farms buying up 100's of cards at a time. But you want to spit hate over someone using 4 cards?? Wtf
I'm considering using 2 of these: ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Dual-fan OC Edition VR Ready Dual HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card (DUAL-GTX1060-O6G) Overclocked to 1089Mhz. for a 2 Gpu Mining Rig. What do you think? Any issues with running these cards?
I'm running duel 1080ti's with an i7-7700k what do you think?
So what is it mining - Ethereum? As I understand it Bitcoin has been taken over by ASIC.
Also, not sure if it matters, given the GPU dependence, but would the LGA1366 be better with the RAM in triple bus, or would it work in dual using 2 out of 3 of a slot set
How do ryzen and thread ripper GPUs compete in the fuel of mining?
"its just in there because its just in there" you convinced me so much that i dont need 32 gigs of ram, lol.
Hi, thx for sharib your experience, very interesting.
I still have probably a 'noob' question but still: Isn't a danger for your GPU to run it 24/7 at almost 80 degress and 100% of usage?
THX
Good setup. So how do you actually collect the money, cash in hand?.
Very new to cryptomining, apologies if I ask a lot of newbie questions... Do the two 1060s mine at 37Mhs each or combined? Thanks for sharing this video.
Ok so what is the cost for each system? My office has electricity included, so What is the ROI? And in about how long?..
is the gpu has to be the same model?
A Lanboy Air? Dope. I wanted one of those cases, back in the day. Same color too.
Hi, i am trying to build pc for mining. Would recommend anything? Thank you
You need to invest a lot of money upfront on solar panels to make it worth it. But even then it might take a long time to even it out. Your best bet is to live in an area with cheap electricity.
So minnig is in the gpu? So if i have 100 dell optiplex 4th gen i7 they wont work or make any money?
+The Adjuster You can mine with a CPU but its not very profitable.
Thanks for taking the time to post this
at around $9 a day, your rent must be less than $270. lol
Nice video!!!! I like the way you've got how much you're making and temperatures and everything.... Thanks!
What type of internet line do I need to do this?
how are you able to put 2 different Graphic cards in
how much that cost you? (each rig)?
That ASUS motherboard in the 2nd PC resells for about £100 even though its pretty old, gotta love LGA1366 motherboards
South Africa??
What was your initial investment in BOTH systems?
Lmao you recorded on July 2nd!
Have you tried using solar power to keep your power consumption low on your bills?
"The 1060s run cooler"
I'm sure it doesn't help that you have the exhaust from the 1060 machine dumping right into the intake of the other machine.
Turn the 1060 machine around so they both exhaust away from each other.
This guy is making more money off this video! The mining rigs don't even pay for the electricity usage.
Put the entire Electronics include the Powersuplies in a big Tank full of Mineral Oil to cool more eficient. Overclock the Miners and do not waste the Heat - sell it. When once the heat is in a Tube it is easy to transport.
I have a question with regards to mining. About a month ago my single MSI GTX 1060 6GB was producing +/-R 30-50 a day. Now it's +/-R 15-20 a day. This is using NiceHash Miner. Do you know why?
15-20 what? mh/s?
Price drop, the bitcoin fork caused the Alitcoins that nicehash mines to drop in price a lot. But bitcoin is increasing so the Altcoins should increase in value again soon.
Ah thanks! Thought it was something like that but wasn't sure.
how does the money you make compare to the cost of power to run them?
I have 2 GTX 1070s, but I can only seem to run one of them on nice hash ;/ How are you able to run 2?
i'd say either poor thermals or bad boost clocks via the "silicon lottery" (google it)
how much do the 1060's on zcash? How many sols and $ ? I thinking building a mining ring for zcash on nicehash but due to the lack of rx cards i am kinda worried investing in nvidea cards and then vega comes out...
i would wait bruh.. AMD said the Vega is supposed to come out at the end of July and thats right around the corner.
The Vega isn't a mining card. It will not perform like a 1080 or even a 1070 considering the power draw. There are videos of its current performance, and unless AMD releases drivers that fix these "issues", nobody will be mining with the VEGA.
My 1060 does about 270 sols/s and about $1.50 per day. Also, don't bother with Nicehash unless you like paying high fees. Use EWBF miner and mine to supernova pool.
Dude I'm with you bro I have 3 rigs running 1 has 2 1080TI's and another runs 1 1080TI ... the 3ed rig has 2 rx 580s 8gb and one Rx 480 8gb I'm looking to add one more 1080 ti to the one graphic card rig and one Rx 580 or 480 to my amd rig a month USD I make at the current rate is $400-$500 mining etherium. Haters who hate us miners we're just making a living. For those who are on minimum wage this helps sooo much all I can say is don't hate the miners were just trying to make some extra cash using the things we love to use
Get a better job
What happens with mining when all 21 billion Bitcoins are created and out in the market? Do mining stops being rewarded since all coins are already owned?
I'm glad to say that in 6 months I will be living my dreams and all thanks to Mr Williams, who passionately works with you to ensure you succeed

a tip for you ;) on your nvidia cards (including the 980) downclock the core and rise up the mem clock youll get better hashrate while even lowering down the temps ;) did this with my 1080 , works pretty well gotta say :D
How do you take the money out in the let’s say paper currency?
You seel it on exchanges like Luno.com (South Africa) or Coinbase
I have invested in more than 5O ICOs . To be honest , Strong team is great rewards in this industry. For upcoming ICOs , GIG9 is my favourite choice . Incredible concept by the prestigious Oxford university UK students . Totally into this ??
that single ram slot with that clip up triggers me
lol your accent confused me at first.. sounded southafrican with an American kick, anyway cool channel bro
he is South African
No that's UFD tech
How much money can I make a month with a Laptop that has a 2C 2T 2.2 GHz Athlon, 4gbs Ram, and can Run Minecraft at about 30 FPS Average.
Do you need good internet connection cause im only getting 2.00 with 2 980's at 514 sol/s
+PokemonIsl that's right, prices dropped a lot
how much did it cost you to build the whole rig?
+vaginasauruss It's old parts I had. so nothing
I have an mining ring and is making enough $ to pay the electricity that is consuming!I am pretty happy!:)))))))))))
but you wasted money because that's breaking even and your rig would cost most likely 1000+
zaboss. thats why u break even then pure profit ya dumb fuck. its called an investment
this mining all well and good but how do then turn that into cash? take it you South African? was playing around with niceHash on my gaming PC earned some BTC but how do you transfer it to usable currency?
+sean alistoun You have to sell it on an exchange like Altcointrader or Luno.
I hate you guys all though I cant buy a graphics card because everyone got mining fever
I knew it!!! This Satoshi Nakamoto took really seriously this mining thing from World of Warcraft. Deam! He won me 😣😂
what are you mining on 1060s??
Because he can.
Couldn't fool me, The good old SA accent, keep up the good work/hashing in SA from an ex South African in New Zealand.
How long is your payouts? Cause my 9604gb takes 4-6 weeks just to payout $25😔
Difficulty went up too much that is why it takes that long.
September 2017: you can't mine with those anymore!
deFenestrate! With nicehash
Why do you use windows? Would there not be less of a overhead with Linux? With no GUI.
Jonas Ukon For me, I think you shouldn't have to stress yourself or worry about mining or if you are going about the right way to get results, I'm a miner but I mine in an entirely different way and not at home. What I do is to invest in a mining company that mines purely Bitcoin. It's totally done effortlessly just by investing and waiting to cash out directly to my bitcoin wallet, I think you should do same so to be completely sure of a productive mining.
Wonder how much can i do with a gtx 1080ti and a 1700x?
Check here:
www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=calc
i see that your running v1.7 why not the v2 beta?
Hello! I am new to this bitcoin mining stuff, I have gotten a lot of interest in it the other day which I want to start mining bitcoin, but I need to know, what rig would you recommend for a starter? My bro's PC can mine 1 dollar a day with a good CPU and graphics card but I don't know what is good equipment. Thanks a lot!
good luck finding equipment with the recent mining boom, but the best rig ignoring that would be a weak cpu, 8gb ram, for an sli setup a 700watt power supply with an 80+ rating, 2 graphics cards, either rx 470, 480, 570, 580 or the gtx 1060 (3,6gb) or the gtx 1070. Keep in mind though that 1. mining with graphics cards can make their lifespan much shorter and 2. you need to keep in mind power costs to run a system like that 24/7.
nice tour, mate!
Nice video man i want to mine too but i dont want to use my gaming pc
This is funny...I have the EXACT same two cases. Same color too.
Get your fan speed up to 100%, you wear out the ship when its that hot.
Electric cost?
I checked out nicehash, and was disappointed in my returns.. spent 15 hours mining, and only made .75 USD on a gtx1080. I'm not using claymore, mining etherium, and I've only run for about 8hrs total and made 0.80 USD. planning to get another 1080.
Reasons why computer components are hellishly expensive....
what is a mining rig?????
Until this low stock thing I didn’t think my 1070 had a use other that gaming and graphic design
Some things you should fix.
#1 600w PSU on the first rig you showed with 2 GTX 1060s is way too low. The recommended for those cards are 400w a piece, so if you're pulling a PSU that's lower then 900w you're playing with fire.. literally.
#2 The memory you have in your second rid with the 2 sticks of ram are in the wrong slots, you should have them 1 slot apart so it can take advantage of the dual channels.
#3 If you're going to build rigs always get MODULAR power supplies, because first the cable management is much easier and second if you need additional power for extra cards(which you will) the cables will be there.
+Alex O #1 1060s only use 120Watts
#2 The system did not want to post otherwise.
#3 I did not buy any of the hardware for mining. Its hardware I had, that was my entire plan. Use hardware I already had to make some extra money.
The 120w is what usually use UNLESS you run them in a mining rig in which case they use the maximum performance output which is 400w, recommended is there because it's designed for your cards to run at maximum performance for tasks like high end gaming, video editing and mining, so while for a regular person they would only draw 120w for a miner they will draw the maximum possible out of the card. That's why I'm saying be careful this is dangerous. Also if you're getting any PSU's that aren't gold or higher you're risking burning down your whole rig considering how intensive it actually is to mine.
As far as the system posting is concerned the system doesn't post what the optimal usage of your memory is, you'll still be using both RAM cards, you simply won't be running them at dual channel, it doesn't post that, it's just common knowledge on dual+ channel motherboards.
I understand you didn't set this up specifically for mining, what I'm trying to tell you is that if you get a chance you really should upgrade it to things that will benefit your mining in the long run.
how do you change bitcoin to actual $$$ to pay yur rent?
How are you getting 2ish dollars per GTX 1060 per day? Im only getting around 1.13$ with a GTX 1060 per day
It was at the time of the recording, the prices went down a lot. I used to make $4 with my 1060
We Do Tech ah ok, just saw that the video was released like 5 days ago and couldnt understand that big of a difference for only a weeks time.
How much for the entire rig and I want to start mining
I am mark have been trying on been part of the crypto world in many ways but all I found is just people collecting my money and go with it, so I kept searching for it until a seminal was done in new York by a man called Alex the CEO of (cryptobusinessonly) which he made us know about many things in the cryptocurrency world. That how I collected his contact and we started this and here I am today have made a lot of money with cryptocurrency on my own because I learnt many things from him. He also do a lot of stuff like:
(1)bitcoin mining
(2)bitcoin loan
(3)bitcoin script
(4)bitcoin buying and selling
(5)bitcoin investment
(6)selling of btc mining machines
(7) teaching how to do bitcoin mining
others. He also involve in all kinds of cryptocurrency

Why don't you use asic chips/ blocks
why dont you shut the fuck up
Does he live with his parents ? Im thinking this is the reson because he thinks a few dollars a day will pay his rent
Point a portable Air conditioner to ur PC rig to keep em cool 24/7
I found the amd r7 200 series is ok and normally got good sale
I have been looking into HostCoin seems pretty interesting
For the Comment below about accent its a Great South African accent, and yes at the currect exchange rates earning in US/Bitcoin and exchanging to ZA Rand can well pay for rent if you live in South Africa. Great Video keep going !
Can a daily-use, desktop PC do this in the background?
Not really, not going to be strong enough. Going to need something like a 1070 to actually make anything now.
easily couple thousand in computer parts, plus the price of electricity, making $4 a day its going to be several years before you even break even
I believe you're paying the rent with that as much as I believe in Santa. Unless you're paying to live in your moms basement.
1060 should do 22 MH/s easy with the right settings.
FYI: you have placed your memory modules in the wrong slot in the PC on the left (assuming the memory modules are same size and everything)
you should place identical memory modules in slots with matching colour. the second memory module from the left should be moved one slot to the right.
I know but did not want to boot otherwise. Spend hours trying to figure out why, but in the end had to put the memory like that.
when you are mining ethereum with the 1060s bump the memory to +600 or +800 and then drop the power limit to 60% and you should get around 22 mh/s with each card while pulling about 70w each. It drops power usage significantly since since core clock speed doesn't really matter. Download something like hw monitor to see whether your card has hynix, micron or samsung memory, samsung overclocks the best of the three getting +900 on average while the micron can sometimes go +800 while hynix has trouble with +600
are these results definitely correlated to memory? this could just be your own experience with the silicon lottery
Nope, it's memory speed. Eth mining benefits from faster memory. Joshua Moran has it right. I generally underclock the core as well as bumping the memory speed in Afterburner.
Im glad I did mine BCs back in 2012 and collected some. I didn't really know what to do with them so I kept them till now. Mining now doesn't make that much sense anymore, you might break even or so, but great profit... nah. Although if the BC value rises again by like a fucking crazy amount it's totally worth it. But only if you stack them.
If you doing it right you break even in a year an from that on you can make good profit
My house has solar panels which makes my electric bill never fluctuate and will always be about 30$ no matter how power I use. Would it be smart to mine if power isn't an issue?
Why do you say BC? It is BTC.
i think it would since power bills are the main reason why people dont recommend it anymore. I would be careful though since bitcoins did have some major dips recently.
They are like 8k I think
Him:hopefully the value comes back up
Me:OH HEELL NO
I Tenox It's a free market. People can buy however many graphics cards for whatever reason if they got the money. Fucking idiots.
I know but what if i tell you i was just joking and i wanted likes
nice to see other people on a 3570 other than myself
Hi there, I'm a little late looking into the whole mining thing so I wanted to ask, is it still worth it and profitable to try?
Nope not at the moment. Could become profitable later again.
We Do Tech
Hi! Thanks for your reply. Also thanks for the video's they helped me understand everything a bit better. And its nice to see what you have and how much it earns. 😊
Hi! I m new to your channel and mining! Thank you very much for your tutorials they helped me out a lot! I only have problem with my wallet, i used the nicehash wallet because when i started mining with ethereum nothing really happened for a long time...is the nicehash wallet good? thanks in advance
I hate to sound old but whats a gdu
that cable management is making me want to die.
Hey, I'm actually surprised at how much you are making with that r9 280x, I underclocked mine to about 260 sols and am only making about 1.30$/day. How so?
I've put Mine to the limits of it's capabilities and its Making 320Sols, Still i'm no where close to those $/day of neither of you.
Hello I was wondering what you guys think about nicehash and also If I should use it I would also like to know if I use it would my computer overheat and break I have a Alienware x51 with a I7-6700 processor and 8gb of ram as well as a 1060 nvidia graphics card
It only pays in Bitcoin. I would personally look at Linux distros and change frequencies in GFX ROM image.
I spent about 2400 total to put together a 6 card gtx 1060 6gb rig. I'm running 138Mh/s and only drawing about 515 watts. Ethereum only. I'm new to this and will be watching difficulty. I'll switch over to zcash or dual mine eth classic and something else when taht day comes. It's probably coming very soon unless they defuse that dumbass "difficulty bomb". There's no reason for it when we don't even have a set-in-stone date for POS implementation
what about the higher electricity bill though ?
Ye Baby! My altcoins paid my mid-year tax bill this year :)
The 1060's are the best bang for the buck. Mine hash Ethereum at over 24MH's each
delvis11 Not at all. My 180mh/s eth rig with 12 zotac's gtx1050ti making 15mh/s each. One card cost is 1/3 price of cheapest gtx1060.
1060's are going for $230
A cheap 1060 costs around or just over $200. Where can I get 1050 Ti for $66? And once you've paid off the card the 1060s will be earning 50% more every day.
