That carpark is notorious, have a look at the reviews for the Montcalm (on the corner).. so many instances of theft that now the Montcalm ask you which car park you’re in and advise you to move if you parked there. NCP have a lot of work to do

It’s shitty it happened, but the golden rule is you never leave any valuables in a car, in a car park anywhere, let alone a big city, even more so if it’s a fancy car.
That is horrible that they broke into you car, it’s sad what this world has become. Nothing is sacred and the fact that you are staying so composed through all this is admirable. I hope they find you personal effects, a crime like this makes you feel violated on many levels, and makes it very personal. Stay strong and hopefully these mutts are brought to justice!
This also happened to me. Smashed my window on my car & stole all my shopping and £3k worth of items - including a half bottle of aftershave. This particular NCP car park is trash. Definitely an inside job. There is no security to attend when you press the button to ask for help and they do not care about thefts or criminal damage. When I contacted their head office, they told me that there are no cameras in this car park. There are super cars parked in this parking garage & it’s in the heart of Knightsbridge so it’s wild their security is non existent. A certain type of person works in a place like this to target others that work hard and have nice things because they can’t provide it for themselves. I’m sorry this also happened to you James

LUCKILY I had my laptop in the bag in standby mode (I'm a photographer) I tracked my bag down using 'find my phone' in Regent Street to a currency and camera exchange shop. I ran in like Rambo, grabbed my bag (4 cameras, HDD's, cash, wallet, drone) and walked out. Crazy but true story. Drove up the M1 boot in the air. Police did nothing.

In 2014 I have driven my new F31 330d touring to Liverpool, it’s been vandalized and smashed rear boot glass + passenger side window, MacBook Pro，camera，all stolen, only left a tent which we used it for snowdonia camping. We ended up to drive a broken car in a pouring rain night, to a local BMW dealer. But all Liverpool locals helped us to overcome the problem, like taxi driver and police officer. It was an experience we will never forget and still love my diesel 3.0 wagon in Estoril Blue.
Had my rear window smashed a couple of years ago, really sucks. Can confirm glass goes everywhere, it's insane. Boot, rear seats, floor, front seats, even by the pedals and on the dash all the way up front. Every little place where there's anything of a low-spot, a piece of glass got stuck in there. Probably spent over two hours vacuuming. Also inside the frame of the rear hatch there's a piece still rattling around when you open and close it, because neither I or the guys installing the new window could get it out. Luckily I didn't get anything of value stolen though. I feel your pain, because even if things are insured and what not, there's just so much hassle getting stuff in order again. Those thugs didn't just destroy and steal your stuff, they also took a lot of your time and effort.
This happened to my RS3 last summer. Back window broken. iPad, phones, passport, wallet, cash all stolen. Luckily I had an airtag in my bag. The guy wasn't interested in passports or cards. He only wanted electronics. I was able to track my bag with my passport (thanks to the airtag) to a park about 5 mins drive away. My tech was gone. But I got back my passport and cards. They use e-bikes. break the windows and run. I ever was able to find the guy with find my on my iPad - but the police couldn't chase him down as he was on a bike and they were in a van in central London. About 4 months later the guy messages me from Moldova and offers me money to unlock the iPad (which I wiped remotely). I ignored him. The police are useless and do nothing about theft in London. They just close the case.

Damn, I feel this. In 2018 my brand new M2 had it's passenger window smashed in and the rear boot lid smashed by vandals when my car was only 3 weeks old. Similar to you, glass was EVERYWHERE. Just pointless damage, nothing was in the car to take, nothing was stolen... I sent it off to BMW and they got it back to new for me, but it still leaves you gutted and wanting to find the idiots who did it. (This was in Melbourne Aus, it can happen anywhere unfortunately...) You'll get it back to the way you want it again and forget it ever happened, but hope you feel better soon for now!

Sorry this happened man, unfortunately that car park has a bit of a reputation for thieves as there’re no security on duty and not even sure if it has cameras either. I work close by and park my car in Angel/Upper street whenever I drive to work . Next time check out Google reviews if using a new car park , many reviews on there citing thieves breaking windows to pinch stuff from this particular one.

This type of thing is rife in central London public Underground carparks atm. Despite what they say, they aren’t guarded and access is unchecked. I leave my car above ground where possible these days.
Nothing pisses me off more than stuff like this. Like I go to _unreasonable lengths_ in my efforts to curb theft. And I hate when people say shit like "what, you value property more than human lives?" No bitch, It's the thieves that are valuing my property more than their own lives.

Sorry this happened man, unfortunately that car park has a bit of a reputation for thieves as there’re no security on duty and not even sure if it has cameras either. I work close by and park my car in Angel/Upper street whenever I drive to work . Next time check out Google reviews if using a new car park , many reviews on there citing thieves breaking windows to pinch stuff from this particular one.

James you and DDE just click so well on camera you definitely need to go to Canada. You would hope carparks would actually have half decent cctv nowadays even if its only on the entrances as that would at least narrow it down a little to possible suspects.

Why would anyone leave such valuables in a car? I live in San Francisco and many many people have learn the hard way not to leave any valuables or anything period inside a vehicle and give anyone the reason to bust your car. Really a hard lesson to learn.

Flying into London tomorrow, not looking forward to spending 3 days in that $hithole. Brazen criminals stalking the streets, armed and willing to use force if confronted. Never mind clean air & congestion, it's the knife crime that kills. Awful to see the damage & loss, I know that feeling only too well. Good luck resolving it. Tomorrow is another day.
Update: 3 days in London and I have to say how nice it was. Lovely weather people were smiling. So I guess we can't blame a place rather than certain criminally minded people. It's our bad experiences that taint our views. As car lovers when our cars are hurt, so are we. Hope all is sorted now and you're back on your travels.

This type of thing is rife in central London public Underground carparks atm. Despite what they say, they aren’t guarded and access is unchecked. I leave my car above ground where possible these days.
Nothing pisses me off more than stuff like this. Like I go to _unreasonable lengths_ in my efforts to curb theft. And I hate when people say shit like "what, you value property more than human lives?" No bitch, It's the thieves that are valuing my property more than their own lives.
