Fantastic! Now just program a terminator and you are in the business. Obviously, you would need to name the terminator machine “Skynet”. Nice work! My apologies for the dad humor.
You are the man! That is awesome that your sharing the code. Thumbs up!!! What is the link to your blog so I can share it with some guys that i'm in a group with?
I used an L298N dual H-bridge driver. In the new version I'm using a Pololu AMIS30543 driver. Probably overkill, but I'm upgrading the motor size since the small NEMA 17 in this one isn't quite strong enough for larger cables.
@@alt5productions do you still have this cutting project? Wanna sell it? I want / need this exact thing but don’t have the time and know how to build it.
Good day to you from Russia!!! Sir, I understand that you were tortured with a request to give a diagram for this device, but I still do not lose hope!!! I think we'll have to study your sketch line by line, what is connected and where. If you want, I can transfer money to your account for the scheme!!! Thanks!!!
"Instead of 20 min to cut cables, I spent about 4 days building this" - haha, sounds like a lot of my projects! Nice work, fun to watch at the end.
Can u share the circuit of this project?

Could you please upload a picture of the Stepper Motor Driver Module? I am curious about how it was connected.
I want to build this but I need a wiring diagram to wire the duel h bridge l298n to the stepper and servo. Can you please help
I need one, just need a bench top version that’s enclosed like the eraser or Artos 45-700. Can you build one?
Very cool project! It sounds like something I would think of and then never build it. You did :)
Why not connect the motor directly to the wheel?
Does the motor dont have enough torque to move it directly?
Can u share the wiring and can i change the measurements to mm thanks
Very nice. Now build an attachment for the machine for bending wires
Thanks for sharing your work im half way on this project. Thanks again
what is the maximum core thickness are you cutting with your machine?
very nice work. but the code link does not work
How does the program know when the wire is loaded or not? Is there a sensor?
1:46. There's a microswitch that opens when the red idler wheel is raised.
@@alt5productions thank you! What motor are you going to use for your next build?

how do you measure the length of the cable?
Its radius of the wheel multiplied by the rotational angle.
Perfect work dear sir! It will be very good if you can share its diagram?
You mention some of the parts are from McMaster will you be posting the part numbers? That'd be super helpful
I mean...I guess I could. It's mostly just screws.

Edward Carlson thank you! I've built one myself based off a 3d printer extruder but I'm gonna switch to the pulley and tensioner like you have there
how to spend your program from feet to metter
I tried doing something like this but with a large driver. Where did you get you're arduino code from? Did you write the code yourself?
I used a library for the stepper and the LCD, but I wrote everything myself. I'll be posting the code to my blog shortly.

Hey, did You used any stepper motor controler? Or only arduino mega is enought? :)

I also bought L298N. Will try with this one. Thanks for help! Thumbs Up :)
hey did you use a mg995 servo motor?
I used this servo: www.pololu.com/product/3426

what this component list please
Just updated the parts list at the blog in the description.
@@alt5productions can you please give the connection diagram
hello can i know how to do the wiring?
can you list the component that u used? and there is the coding?
Code is in the description. Parts list is in a reply to Jakes Makes.
okay tq sir. and can u gv me the circuits that u used.
what type of servo that u used?
what type of stepper motor do you used.

You are not interested in selling your project
hello sir..can u give me the schematic diagram of your project..Im really needed.Tq
very nice,
