Been struggling with this for years, climbing up and cutting back my tree every 3 months. It grows like there's no tomorrow. Always found that if I left the branches over a week before debarking they are a nightmare. Now I know why.... they are moist when I cut them off so it strips easily. Sometimes I can't get it all done in a weekend though and have a huge job later. Thanks for showing this.
Great solution, Im going to borrow your technique! Thanks for figuring this out and makes perfect sense to use wet wood. Thanks for taking the time to share this tip;)
Im gonna try this . i just tried using a 1/4 inch rotary cusp / rasp in a drill so i can carve the wood with my dremel . i used the cheap harbor freight 1/4 inch 10 piece rasp set . it worked good but it took a while and my old plug in drill got a tad hot gettin the oak bark off . my bark is much bigger than the peeler could handle ( i think) but your trick my work with walking sticks im gonna make . good video , thank you miss
You could fill a spray bottle spray good let sit a few minutes then spray a bunch more times. Each time letting water soak into wood an bark a few minutes

Are you seriously using a potato peeler? Thanks for the non-advice..
Well, it works perfectly, so don't go to people and be rude for no reason
