These are some of the most over powered comic book characters and live in completely different universes. If Saitama was in the DC Universe Superman would win. If Superman was in the One punch Universe, Saitama would win. Neither of them are meant to lose in their stories.

Then everyone bitches about the result and dislikes the video as if it really mattered. Even when it was clearly stated that the result was chosen by the fans. Well Superman does in fact hold back if people could be hurt in a fight, but the second he would have been away from them, you would have seen a power increase, and that just didn't happen in this fight.
Maybe he didn't say that directly, but he has said once that since a villain had already killed everyone in the area that he didn't have to hold back anymore. So he is at least conscious of it. Presumably it's just difficult to convince someone who's trying to kill you and everyone else to do it elsewhere, and so Superman just generally doesn't make failed attempts at it.

If his creator says that Saitama One Punches everything then that's that. Superman can have all his feats but in the end it just comes down to how powerful he is written to be. One Punch Man mocks this by simply writing down.
