- Some quality action with Andi Peters in the original broom cupboard (so to speak!) because due to certain events i.e. the Prime Minister resigning, (Nicholas Witchell presented a BBC News Special on BBC1) the afternoon programmes are relegated to BBC2 which gives Mr Peters an excuse to go briefly 'behind-the-scenes' and talk incredibly quickly through what he and Edd get up to (ooh err!).
Includes intros to Clockwise with Darren Day, Fantastic Max and Maid Marion.

Fascinating clip - it's almost as if Andi's been dropped back in 1985, it's barely changed a bit! Funny how they went to the trouble of making up all the programme slides when they almost certainly wouldn't get used. And I like how the broom cupboard gets better decorated as the links go on!
The slides were obviously electronic, so wouldn't have been anywhere near as much of a hassle to make than if they had used traditional photographic slides.
Every programme has a cover slide made and I suspect that they make them for BBC 1 and BBC 2 just in case anyway, in other words it might not have been exactly as Andi implied.
This must have been shown around Easter if I remember as that Maid Marian episode was an Easter special I think!!!! I remember watching it and have it on Dvd boxset!!!!!

That behind-the-scenes film is almost identical to the one from Take Two a couple of years later that's on the BBC archive site...and Andi does like showing off his broom cupboard view, so many clips around online of him doing that!

I didn't realise that Children's BBC was moved to BBC2 that afternoon. Does anyone know if Neighbours was also shown on BBC2 that day?

I'm assuming they had to decamp there as the Broom Cupboard is infact the continuity suite, so they needed to move to BBC Two's? Could they have not patched in Andi's camera and microphone from BBC One continuity into BBC Two pres?
No, because BBC1's continuity suite would be needed to cover in the case of a news breakdown.

Does anybody know what date that Radio Times magazine is from I know it is from 1990 but I am unsure about the actual date it is either from September, October or November.
