Surely all the moms understand the feel of this song. I am about to give birth to my first child and listening to this song in tears.. Such a wonderful writing. Praise be to God!
Sir... I don't care if they say the song is grammatically correct or not...It's the most beautiful song written about Mary and Jesus. If this song doesn't make you stop and listen to those profound words and touch your heart, mind, and soul you would have to be made of stone. Myself I love Dolly Partons version but the song is beautiful and meaningful no matter who sings it. Thank You for putting pen to paper to create this masterpiece.❤
Have you even read Luke? It doesn't touch my heart as much as it makes me ask why the question is being asked in the first place because the Bible makes it obvious. It's dumb. Have you ever heard Ave Maria by Biebl?
All of the words to this song bring thoughts of the wonder of who Mary had birthed . But the line that gets to me the most is when He is called " the Great I AM " . It shakes me to the core.
Every time I hear the video of Mark singing with Voctave I get goosebumps. It is amazingly beautiful. Mark, did you know how this song would affect so many people in such a powerful way? Past, present and future!
I love "Did You Know" as it is asking past tense. Looking back did you know. Do you know is present tense. My all time favorite song. No matter what time of year! Touches my soul.
How you explained it is how I have always taken it. It's beautiful, and I believe, your best work of all time. It will outlive us and speak to millions. Thank you.
Our church choir used to go to the beach in September to start learning Christmas music, and one of the new songs was "Mary, Did you Know?". We sight read it, stopped, looked at each other and just said"WOAH"! It has been a favorite ever since!
This is one of the most SPLENDID songs ever, in my opinion, no matter the grammar. Mark is very intelligent, gifted and very down to earth to have put all of those wonderful thoughts and aspects into words ✨✨✨
9/15/2021 This song moves me so much. Every time I listen to it, I think to myself "No truer words spoken" and I thank God. I watched a YT video about Christmas in Israel, present time, by Sergio & Rhonda in Israel. A young woman in a choir sang "Mary Did You Know". I was not expecting that song, but it was beautifully done.
His version with Voctave is the best. Every reaction I see on youtube to it, they almost all say the same thing. It gives them chills and goosebumps. Well done, Sir!
Love this song. Clay Akins - another wonderful rendition. Mark, love the way you explained did/do. Yes, two different meanings. And I love your heart. I love the way you preach. 💜
English is my second language, his grammar is perfect, is asking Mary now if she knew who Jesus, her son, would do as an adult, yes it's perfect and I love it!!!! I cried when I heard it and I never get tired of listening it...Mary did you know that your baby boy would died for us in a cross? And even that she didn't know she trusted in God, we have to learn so much from her.
For years I had no idea who 'wrote' this beautiful song, I heard Kenny and Wynona sing it, Clay Aiken, Pentanonix, and I fell in LOVE with it! Then I discovered you in You Tube probably a month before you visited Brenda Gantt's home and I so enjoyed your sense of humor and your love of God. And while scrolling some, I saw this You tube: ruclips.net/video/3fbgWa5pH3g/видео.html. I was so moved listening to you sing it! The Holy Spirit was moving me something big! Thank You for writing this amazing song. It truly brings out a prospective many of us never had. God Bless You Mark! And Thank You!
I disagree with all the scholars...when I hear this song the verb tense was correct if the sentence structure would have had a few additions..., "Mary did you know (on the day of his birth) that your baby boy would one day walk on water? The sentence is so well structured that the phrase not added in was understood by context clues. In the multitude of times I have heard and sang this song it never sounded uncorrect...and I taught English during my career. Thank you Mark for that beautiful God inspired song.
The song is gramatically correct because She was asked not if she knows it now but did She knew it before He did it. Did she know then before He did it if He would do the things He did once grown. Sir you wrote a great song. May God and His Virgen Mother bless you eternaly
I recently heard your song, Mary Did You Know. It always makes me cry every time. Mark, I miss you. I unsized when you called the Holy Spirit a female. One thing I am certain is that God is not trans…. Have you ‘changed your mind’ about this?
The🍼Baby👶 Becomes the🏰Boss🤴 Matthew 13: 31 ¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Mary did you know that a large percentage of those alive on the earth today are communicating with you, a person who has been dead for just a little shy of two thousand years and they are doing it through this song ❓🦧🦧❓ It's called 'SPIRITUALISM' and 'NECROMANCY' and 'SORCERY'‼️ The Pope and the Roman Catholic Church does it and now Protestants everywhere are doing it too. Listen to RUclips 🎵🎶 music 🎵🎶 video, ' "I Write the Songs" by Barry Manilow' for who has the whole world dancing to the beat of his drum and talking to dead people by way of 'divination' like Saul did with Samuel ‼️
Every time I see this song, I check to see if offensive language is still used. Did you know that the MOST unreached population in the U.S. is the deaf? Did you know that ASL is the 3rd most used language in the U.S.? And did you know that deaf consider being called "DUMB", just because they don't speak, highly offensive? Please consider, if the Bible can be updated to use more modern language, then so can the lyrics to a song. I suggest changing the word 'dumb' to 'mute'. Thank you for your consideration. Prayerfully submitted.

Me too
For me, it's the line 'when you kissed your baby boy, you kissed the face of God'... that stops me in my tracks...
@@michellecolcerin1707 - Yes, that is so powerful . What a thought !
I've heard many artists sing this song and do a decent job. But no-one comes close to Mark. He owns this song.
Every time I hear the video of Mark singing with Voctave I get goosebumps. It is amazingly beautiful.
Mark, did you know how this song would affect so many people in such a powerful way? Past, present and future!
God used a very special man to bring forth a beautiful song!
Yes,HE did!

Jordan Smith performed this on "The Voice" and it was one of the most amazing versions I have ever heard. That man has the voice of an angel.
I love your song very much...got tear drop all the time when I turn this song❤
Wow, I sure didn't know, when I first heard that song my Mom was playing a Rodgers Whitaker singing that beautiful song
Being a mother adds an extra added dimension to the song for! I would sit and stare at my son and would wonder about what he would grow up and be!
Love this song. Clay Akins - another wonderful rendition. Mark, love the way you explained did/do. Yes, two different meanings. And I love your heart. I love the way you preach. 💜

Mark, it's a perfect song! My very favorite Christmas song! Grammar shammer! (I know, wrong grammer) who cares!
Mark you are a remarkable man.(no pun intended)
That is correct in context.
This song is the Catholic version of Thee OUR FATHER! AS THE WORLD HEARS, THOSE WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR! AMEN

The grammar is correct. He is speaking in past and future tense simultaneously.
3:15 This is called consecutio temporum.
Wonderful song if it doesn't get too jazzy and loud.
IS THE NEW TESTAMENT SUMMARIZED IN A SONG
I recently heard your song, Mary Did You Know. It always makes me cry every time. Mark, I miss you. I unsized when you called the Holy Spirit a female. One thing I am certain is that God is not trans…. Have you ‘changed your mind’ about this?
Did you know ---. Looking back, hindsight. Do you know --- present tense.
You two look like twins
Having a hard time telling who is Mark and who is Scott.

Mark, I'm sorry you're being attacked from the secular community
Don't know why that line went through there. Sorry! Obviously OPERATOR ERROR!
