- A pretty interesting experimental line from Maker's which involves multiple types of staves used in a single aging run.

Please do a review of your all-time favorite whiskey and bourbon, regardless of the price range; the very best of the best. I’m talking about the ones that you guys (as advanced whiskey and bourbon connoisseurs) absolutely couldn’t do without, and believe to be the most sublime (according to your personal preferences, obviously). Again, I’m interested in your personal opinions, and not the results of some magnificently popular survey somewhere.
Makers is my favorite bourbon! I love seeing that they are coming out with more special edition bottlings.
Anyone else feeling like we need to see a Glencairn "hand bell" orchestra?

This was released in KY everywhere with the name Generations of Proof. Great packaging and presentation from Maker's. Delicious whisky
I always liked the ending of the Titan video because it reminds me of an old Pink Floyd song from the 60s. The lyric that jumps to mind is: knowledge of love is Knowledge of shadow, love is the shadow that ripens the wine.
I was watching one of your videos during my lunch break the other day and got halfway thru the “titan of whiskey segment” (low budget version..) before I had to pause it and walk into a meeting with my boss. I slipped the phone onto my picket and started hosting the meeting when my phone unpaused itself and proceeded to play the rest of the low budget “titan of whiskey” reel. After much explanation about who the heck these magnificent bastards were we all had a good laugh. I’m pretty sure your Chanel gained a few new followers that day. I appreciate you guys! Cheers.

Bought a 46 and private select from a local store (Aquistapaces in Slidell, LA) for my brother for Christmas this year. Hoping it's a good mix.
They did this for two years and I was lucky enough to grab both! Damn good whiskey!
Way back when I worked at a bakery in Atlanta GA, I was making something with bourbon and asked the boss to go next door to the bar and get makers for me to use. She asked why it had to be makers mark specifically, there’s no difference in taste of bourbons. I told her yes there is and I needed that flavor profile. She proceeded to bring 6 glasses of whiskey from the bar and told me to pick out the makers. I did it from the nose alone. 🤣 She was not happy I was right
Maker's is the bourbon that made me love whisk(e)y, so I'm always excited when it comes up in a review.
Slowly working through my bottle. It won my personal 2020 blind tasting for my whiskey of the year.
That has been my all time favorite! It’s fantastic- the Rob Samuels barrel. Like Xmas cookies.
Baked staves, Seared staves, Spiced staves sounds like a three course meal for a termite. 😃
I love Makers Mark wood stave finished bottles. I have had a few store special orders that were great!

This trio pack I've seen at a bunch of stores now. I know it was originally released at Costco first, but it's not limited anymore.

Isn't that whiskey more a Maker's Mark 46 than a regular Maker's Mark? I say it for how the bottle looks. Nice review guys!
The Bourbon Junkies Stroke Wagon arrived this past weekend and Daniel and Rex hopped on. Yea HAW!! Also, I would use the Maker's 101 for a closer flavor and proof comparison, or maybe a cask str 46.
As far as stakes for the guess the proof it could be a whip cream pie but not just any whip cream…. A fine cool whip blended with shots of Wild Turkey 101.

Guys, I'm hearing the Costco trio includes 46 Cask Strength, a limited edition, not just the standard 46. You've gotta review it! Would have a been a perfect comparison for this Private Selection, actually.

I am pretty sure the 46 in the trio pack is 46 cask strength, therefore still in need of a review. The 46 cask strength is one of my favorite new releases.

The Private Selections are some of my favorite, commonly available bourbons. Just an outstanding taste at an acceptable price for me. A better comp is the Maker's 46.
In Australia the "Classic" Maker's is watered down to 40%
Love the steaks idea. I say start with a ribeye or porterhouse. Both should pair great with whiskey.

So I was watching You Season 3 on Netflix and they joked that some hippie winery 3-D printed their wine barrels. My brain exploded with whiskey nerd knowledge thanks to your channel. So if you had to 3-D print barrels, how would one go about aging the spirit? Is there a workaround?
Stakes for guess the proof game. Hook up a TENS device and crank the power to 11. First contestant to 3 wrong guesses gets fried.
When it comes to steaks I prefer a good mid-rare ribeye, but strip steak or a sirloin are good choices too...
Steak Stakes? Or... a glass of desired whiskey at their time of choosing (in another episode) like Macallan M or of similar status.
I hate the RUclips bodily harm limit thing. Not that I want to see people hurt, but it would be helpful from a safety standpoint to be able to see things related to machine accidents in order to better understand the specific dangers.

Instead of doing just one tribe episode where it is "Guess the proof" you can do a series of questions like "Guess the proof", "Guess the age", "Guess the distillery", "Is it MGP or craft" in some sort of Chintzy price-is-right style game show that is so absurdly complex to understand that nobody bothers trying to understand it.

Stakes:
Before the contestants know what is happening, you should find out what their five favorite whiskies and five that they hate. You’ll want to do this in a way where they would not know that the information will be used against them.
If they guess correctly, they can have whiskey they like.
If the guess incorrectly, they have to drink the whiskey that they hate…and cannot continue until the glass is empty.
The trick is, they cannot know what they are drinking. We want to see disappointed faces.
Stakes... if you get 5 wrong egg smashed over your head for Rex because he hates them so much, and one of the many items on Daniel's hated list... apple sauce? That's on the list right? Lol
The stakes? Variant of squid games red light green light
STAKES: a shot of cheap, budget, bad tasting whiskey if you lose, or guess incorrectly. That's one way to get rid of the plastic bottle whiskeys, haha!
