I’m glad to see my MEW Tahoe model isn’t the only one that doesn’t like sharp turns lol excellent layout sir. Funny fact, I just finished putting a sound decoder in my 19, and selected the same whistle as you, having never seen your videos prior. Great minds think alike!
Absolutely beautiful modeling. I am interested in seeing more videos of this beautiful layout and learning more about your locomotives, track plan, rolling stock, battery and decoder installation, etc. Excellent video. Thank you. Edit: I like the length of this video.
What a layout! My favorite era of railroading come to life. I have seen the real Taho several times at the Pennsylvania railroad musem. It is one thing to see old photos of the past but to see something that was actually there being used in the middle of those times it is pretty neat.
Fantastic production. Clean edits. Look forward to finding more about this railroads story. Those moguls are nice, but Consolidations will always be my favourites
Nice track and great background. My 101 year old father really liked it. The last train set up we saw (another RUclips channel)went too fast and he complained to me about it. Yours was interesting to watch and we would predict what the train would do or what track it would go on. Thanks, we will watch again.
Great railway from 1899. Unfortunately I don't have the space for a layout. I'm a fan of Trainz Railroad Simulator. There are some beautiful old western routes from a few selected providers. Thanks for the nice clip.
Nice to see smooth-running, great-looking steam, and on such a well done railroad. My only pet peeve is that the engines are missing crews in the cabs, but that's just me. You really put some work into this miniature world and it looks terrific!
This is the best video ever!! You have such a great V&T Layout Donn! Someday I wish to have my own, when I've got a house of my own I can build inside. I model the passenger train Lightning Express, but have plans to do more freight in the future. Is this HO scale?? I love how you made the ore cars blocks of cars linked up. That's GENIOUS. How did you make your Tahoe and Truckee?? They look fantastic! We need more 19th century Moguls in HO scale! Look forward to seeing more videos of your layout! Take care!
I noticed a mistake, when you dropped off the long train of loaded cars, you left some sitting on a switch, if you was going to make it look real authentic then you would put it past the switch
Donn, excellent job of interpreting the V&T. Excellent modeling. I really like your version of Virginia City and Crown Point. Video was a fun watch. I loved the crew member getting dragged around by the turntable. Did you remotor the MEWs yourself? And please fix the roof paper and give us more videos.
Donn, did you ever find any kits that helped with recreating the C street buildings? I'm trying to find something to kitbash the Bucket of Blood and a few other historic buildings.
you know, it would be faster if after you got the first locomotive out, just keep turning the turntable in the same direction since the end the little guy was at was closest to the next locomotive.
Sweet set up… love the more historical theme … engines were works of art
Fantastic layout, beautiful locomotives. I hope to see more videos
Fantastic layout. Very nice video and details. New subscriber. Happy 2024! Greetings. Stefano

Great modeling and video. Love the V&T. I;ve been modeling it for years
Very fine V&T 'feeling'. Love that you use stub switches like the real V&T.
Fantastic production. Clean edits. Look forward to finding more about this railroads story.

Wow this is a great layout! Loved the trips up to Virginia City as a kiddo where you can ride on part of the old V&T.
Very nice job! Would love some more in-depth videos of the layout and equipment.
The hobo union approves of this video, and will be holping trains at a layout near you.....❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊

Nice railroad, lots of electronics, . . . .
Mesmerizing. A day in the work life of two steam engines in the Sierras.
Amazing layout Donn I love the late 1800 aesthetic!
what a fantastic layout! I've been looking for a V&T layout like this one for a while to get ideas for the future.
Wonderful layout.
Love those Engines👍👍👍👍.
I love the V&T model railroad ❤❤❤❤
I collect O gauge.... but I like this....every thing is so well done.
VERY REALISTIC!!

Finally, someone taking up the V&T modeling mantle- it's been a while. Looking forward to more Donn.
That Layout Looks Sweet!
This video was awesome, great job 😊😊😊😊😊.
Wow this layout is freaking spiftacular!!! Glad to see some people modeling the late 1800s
Great Operation👍👍👍👍.
Cool video and channel just subscribed. Can't wait to see more

Fantastico !
Superb
What a great layout, Great job on the video. How about a video on how you planed and built it. What scale ????
Great Job !

Looks and runs great Donn, anymore details on your control system, you say they run in batteries.

Thank you very much! I remodeled those engines a few years back . I got Micromo motors from a place in Florida. I fixed the roof thanks.
Donn, did you ever find any kits that helped with recreating the C street buildings? I'm trying to find something to kitbash the Bucket of Blood and a few other historic buildings.
The only one I found was the bank in cast plaster. I never put it together and sold it last year.
What brand turntable is this? Brilliant addition of the table pusher!
Really well done. Too bad there aren't more pre-1900 layouts out there.
you know, it would be faster if after you got the first locomotive out, just keep turning the turntable in the same direction since the end the little guy was at was closest to the next locomotive.
it’s a beautiful layout. I really like your materials. What brand is it?
Nice job getting those old brass models to run well. Did you do the work yourself?
Yes I did the work except the paint job on number 19. That was 7 colors. I did all the battery conversions.
Very nice work!!! HO scale??
What are the overall dimensions of your layout?
Awesome layout! What scale is this in?
In the description HO
Fine models and scenery! A gem of a video!
Hey Donn...great layout and video! Did you shoot the video yourself? Batteries in those locos?🚂🚂
Yes I did the video myself. It was not easy. Yes there are batteries in those engines.
Editing software used?
Forgive me but I can't place those logos. They appear not to be either Baldwin or Rogers. Do you call them 2-6-0 or 4-4-0's?
The Tahoe and the Truckee were both Baldwin 2-6-0 locomotives, called Moguls.
HELLO people SUBSCRIBE!!!
