I often sail those, and have to say my top speed never went above 18kts - usually cruising at 15-16kts. Awesome job here Joe!
Thanks! I'd have to say that Vassiliki bay is a particularly easy place to sail fast!
joyrider joey you have a loyal lot of
support..ya have respect and love fron us all...'comeing about'...cheers sailor 🎉🎉
Thanks very much. It's my pleasure!!
To see you in this action make me happy, it looks you have a lot of fun, thank you for supporting and teaching in the sailing sport so much, have a nice day to everybody
Yes! This was a lot of fun - even the 15 delivers with the right wind
I didn't think the hobie 15 could reach those speeds, well done. Can't wait to see you pushing the hobie 16 in this dream bay this year again !
You and me both! There's been a bit of a wind drought recently - just waiting for the return!!
Cool video thanks, I chose my 15 because of the hull runners, so I can pull her out of the water almost anywhere without worrying about damage, and also because I'll be solo sailing often and I think she's a little more manageable than a 16, when you factor in launching etc. I'm still learning but I did manage my first completely solo launch/sail/recover recently, thanks to your videos!
Nice! I'm very glad that the videos have been helping. The 15 is such a great choice for exactly the reasons that you said.
I am loving all of your videos and would love to see you do a comparison between the Hobie 16 and the Minicat 420 👍
It will be quite a comparison - not so much in common
@@JoyriderTV thank you for the consideration, keep up the great work. I am learning so much and thoroughly enjoy your presentations
There is no comparison.
I had a Sunfish sailboat growing up and in a good wind then daggerboard would start to sing 👍
Love a singing boat!!
Hi Jo, I rag one of these around Rhosneigr in the summer and that is the sound of fun!!
Yes, it's certainly a good feature having the audible speedo.
Got my hobie getaway to 18.6 knots last summer here down under😁.
Good speed!!!
Hi Joe, would you consider the 15 to be the replacement for the 14? 14s in good shape in the US are rare as hens teeth.
Designed for a different purpose - but for what you're doing - it would be ideal.
Pretty Quick
She's a beauty!!
