I'm married. I don't see cheating as a for worse thing. For worse is losing a job, losing a child, infertility, home foreclose, house fire, illness, family issues, financial problems, etc. Things that happen to us that are OUTSIDE of our control. Worse is not me (or my spouse), deciding to be selfish and undisciplined. Cheating is a choice and Biblically grounds for divorce.

I left the marriage because of cheating and lies and a whole bunch of stuff that was going on that he was not telling me. I'm Jamaican so basically he used me to get in to the country. But as I told him being mrs whom ever isn't good enough for me I'm in it for everything good bad and ugly and if your not in it with me then you know where the door is and go kick rocks while you added with no shoes on. But you are right marriage is very much different from being in a boyfriend girlfriend relationship it was easier for me because I didn't have children with him thank God for that. I’ve been with my husband 21 years in May and relationships are complicated. There’s lots of compromise and I believe you can allow a mistake once and only once. After the first time it’s a choice. A lot of these mistakes come from people not communicating their feelings, wants, and needs. Assuming your partner always knows what you need or are feeling is how things go left. Speak your truth and give your partner time to process that. Not every decision needs a immediate response
Growing up we used to say whoever smelt it dealt it...who knows more about cheating and what to look for than a bona-fide cheater. I've only seen one of his videos and I knew then he wasn't right.

I'm married and I've been married twice. My first husband cheated on me, we got divorced before I knew he cheated. But if my current husband cheated I would probably leave honestly because if I can't trust him then ain't no need for me to put me, him, or the kids through that.

As far as the public apologies, it depends. For certain people who have people trusting in them (like that public figure guy you mentioned and as well as the pastor), they do owe the public an apology. They owe everyone that follow them an apology. Because there was a bond and a relationship between them and their followers and they broke that bond. You cannot (morally) lead people in Christ or guide people in relationship advice, live an opposite life, disappoint these people, break their trust, etc. and think that an apology is not in order.
On the other hand, if the public figure operates a platform like yours, Jess, then, of course, an apology is not (necessarily) in order. You do hair, promote general products, give advice about choosing a good mate, etc. Your relationship advice is different from that guy’s relationship advice. You talk about Christ (which is really good, thanks!) But you’re not exactly telling people how to live their lives. So, I agree, you wouldn’t owe the public (your followers) an apology. But their situation is different and they owed those apologies to the public.

In regards to Lil NasX, the point of the video wasn’t to hail Satan. It was satire due to Christians constantly telling gay people that they’re going to hell, they’re sinners, etc. I personally think he’s the opposite of lost. He has found himself and his love for himself and so he is striking back on those who made him hate himself for so long.
To your point, Christians are the reason that videos like that are released. He built up so much self-hatred as a kid and when he got older he realized it’s all hypocritical (given how much people/Christians sin on a daily basis). So it was satire.
