Finally, it's here eh?
His runesword animation really reminds me of someone.. "By the power of Ostia, I have the power!"
Back to topic, if only his affinity wasn't Thunder, he would be able to one hit the dragon with a Filla's Might + Armads critical. I still couldn't believe Darin ran away from him, it's just so random.
I kinda gave myself a slight handicap by not using the brave axe, also to add abit of variety to Hector's usage of weapons, I even tossed away Basilikos to show how awesome Hector can be.
Fun fact #1: Hector is ranked 4th in terms of dealing the highest damage to the dragon, only behind Canas, Eliwood and Athos.
Fun fact #2: With full defensive supports and Armads, he can overcome the weapon triangle in a battle against Lloyd, with his sheer defenses. Who needs the swordslayer anyway?
Fun fact #3: He is also the only Lord who is not weighted down by his legendary weapon after using the body rings. Both Eliwood and Lyn are still slowed down tremendously.
Fun fact #4: Runesword Hector is more effective than Nosferatu Athos/Canas. Runesword is lighter, yet has a higher Mt compared to Nosferatu. Hector is not weighted down by the Runesword, but Athos/Canas are weighted down by Nosferatu.
Fun fact #5: I hate to admit it, but Hector is the only character that cannot consistently gets 100% hit rate on the enemies, as his accuracy is simply too low, be it his Skl cap or his affinity. Of course we have to nerf him, otherwise Quad Hector can probably destroy everything on sight.

@@derpi3438 Without Hector, Nergal would've succeeded in killing Eliwood, but since Hector appeared and messed his plans, he miscalculated regarding Hector's strength.

It's a shame to know, many years after FE7 was released, that Hector died rather unceremoniously in the last game that was never released internationally so I guess that partially explains why Hector is more popular in America than in Japan.

I did an S rank Sword Hector once just for the lols. Armads is a pfp weapon anyway, so axe rank doesn't really matter that much. There was a lot of absurdist comedy in seeing Hector use the Regal Blade.

Hector’s critical animation for regular axes/swords is so vague. It always shocks me when I hear the critical noise.

Everyone loves hector, but what no one noticed is that hector is basically what would happen if a armor Knight had normal movement. They would be just that busted
Hector smashes the RNG with his Armads. That crit is awesome. And you got really different with your movements on this one. I think it highlighted Hector pretty well.
I see you have patience with upgrading the secondary weapon yourself(no shocker though; with all the journeys you've done). I like giving the Lord's the S class weapon that isn't their final main one(Lyn w/ Reinfleche, Eliwood w/ Rex Hasta, Hector w/ Regal blade). Hector is hard to do that for. XD I think the game knows what I'm doing and makes sure I crit with him everytime. I learned to arm him with Slim Swords so he doesn't always kill on crit.
I used iron and steel at first when I started that masochistic run. I just rarely hit S when I wanted. I try to hit C when Hector gets his heaven seal late game but I often fail to since he often killed them too soon. I started using slim after a few fails with my playthroughs to see if that helped and it did.

Seeing your comment, I realised something. Maybe IS implemented the Blade weapons just to train Hector's sword rank.
1: They are heavy (especially steel blade), but they don't affect Hector since his con is high.
2: Along with swordreavers, they also get double EXP compared to regular swords.
Another fun fact found for Hector! But seriously, I just can't imagine Hector using a slim sword, that's like a regular person holding a stick to fight. xD

That's actually a good buff, i remember how frustatingly hard it was to increase staff rank (aside from Ellen and Saul)

Oh come on, I wasn't the only one who requested to see Hector shine off in his final battle. But I can sure say, I really hope I get the new Hector in heroes. Thanks again for being able to show off the real Man of Steel, puts a tear in my eye when I see him twirl Armads around.. ^_^

According to my calculation, the dragon has 120 HP.
And i don't gonna this cuz there's lot of Einsteins here who knows more than the whole world of FE, so this is to simple to explain and i don't gonna. You know why, don't play silly with me
It actually does have 120 HP. In one of the journey videos, one of the characters kept doing 16 damage to the dragon(plus crits) and the total number came out to at least 120

You think if no one bashes hector then no one should even think about bashing lyn... she has better stat growths overall then hector.... speed, skill, and luck she can easily max... if you pretty lucky from the 40 percent str stat and with some str boosters. she can also get max atk as well. and she can easily destroy this dragon. meanwhile if your hector level is at max but if you are very unlucky with the speed level ups... he won't kill the dragon at all... I mean we saw the dragon's damage... 38....
that is why I don't like slow characters... I tried to use only slow characters against darco zombies and they get murdered by darco zombies... speedy characters like eirika can easily kill them and yet those characters like eirika, ameilla, or lyn gets bashed and you get called a troll... lol

Sophia is not utterly useless.
She is basically a Magical Tank and can 1 shot Brenya.
The reason why lyn always gets bashed is that shes sword-locked just like eliwood. Hector on the other hand can use hand axes pretty early. 1-2 attack range is very important in hector hard mode. In the mid to last stages of hector hard mode lyn also cannot 1 round enemies but lyn can be 1 rounded by almost everything. Her attaining bows through her late promotion doesnt really help her situation
not really even with speed wings... don't know if this is my luck but... my hector never reached over 15 and yes it even happened with ross... so his max speed is 10... so..
