Wow, I remember this video. Hard to believe I've been playing guitar slightly longer than RUclips's been around. (ya wouldn't know it to hear me play, haha) And still up, in glorious 240p, haha Thanks for your work, Mr. Duncan.
It's truly amazing to learn how the simplest steps like measuring distance of bridge to front of saddles for purpose of keeping intonation accurate.. that's for your knowledge, it's truly appreciated.. just purchased the invader, hot rails t bridge and a quarter pounder tele bridge pickup of which motivated me to redesign the mim player bridge to build a better mouse trap/pickup trap in this case.. I don't quite get why the older bridge dimensions have been changed on the player tele? It used to accommodate the hot rails and other similar single coil size humbuckers..? Only thing I can think of is either different part's supply origin or trying to corner the pickup market lol.. sorry fender you make great guitars but Seymour is the man when it comes to designing and building pickups..👍👍
I'm adding your Vintage Stack Neck and Bridge pickups in my 94/95 Fender MIJ Foto Flame Tele with 500k pots and .33 Orange drop cap. STK-T1n Neck and STK-T3b Bridge can't wait to hear it. I had a set of your SD Seth Lovers put in my Epi LP and they're amazing!!!
Maybe title this, "how to tear apart your Tele before installing new pickups, but we aren't going to actually tell you anything about changing your pickups...sorry"
Hi. I know it’s been a while since this comment was posted but unfortunately it won’t fit without modification. Tele and Strat use different pickup mount.
The more tutorials on how to swap pickups that I watch, the more confused I get. I know nothing about capacitors or grounds or anything like that, and the question is do I need to know that to replace a pickup? I don't think this video was particularly helpful. Seemed like a lot of talking and not enough instruction. I wish someone would just say and do exactly what I needed ot do without all the extra crap in between

Bear in mind this was uploaded in 2009!
@@cowieson It needs to be redone!
I have a single bridge Seymour Duncan hotrails pickup for a Strat but was wondering if it would work in my telecaster instead ?

Absolutely useless video based on the title
I hope you have someone else writing work instructions at your factory. From an instructional point of view this was abysmal.
🤔
What pixel goes where? What a freaking waste of time. Zero explanation.
Video has absolutely nothing to do with changing pickups. Rubbish!
