- Skegness Raceway also known as Skeg Vegas home of the 2024 World Finals Championship weekend this was the qualifying day from the event and my first hits in the stock car from the world champ Tom Harris one of the hardest hitters in the game and #1 in the world
Brilliant to have you over for our world final.
You looked more and more confident as the world final race went on.
Amazing for Tom Harris to give so much of his time to get you comfortable and help with your set up in his big meeting.
And even better that he won his 5th world title, and boy was he fast in the sprint car 👌
This is great! Thankyou for coming over. I hope you enjoyed it in the UK and enjoyed the racing! It would be great to see you again at next years world final.
Hey Tmez thanks for posting your impression of the UK Stock Car. I live in the UK, but work in 🇺🇸. Love to watch all the different formulas of Sprint Cars in the US and Stock Cars in the UK. You have now experienced UK Stock Car racing and I’m sure you will agree that it is awesome. We need more guys like you here in the UK. The social media side of things here in the UK is severely lacking. Good luck with all your future ventures. “These guys drive the wrong way” You Americans…😅😅😅
Well, as an Australian Sprintcar Fan, and a big fan of Tmez, from the outside looking in, these cars and this kind of racing would be a little familiar to him, as it looks almost exactly the same as the Stock Car racing in New Zealand, only, they do it PROPERLY by which I mean they do it on the dirt and they go "the right way" around the track!!
UK stock cars do it on dirt too and go the same way as NZ superstox, a uk driver has even won the world 240 champs in NZ 3 times! that’s how good these drivers are.
@@frenzalrhomb6919 nz also hits way harder, because were alowd to turn right
Been a pleasure to watch you race our form of racing, you have done yourself proud Thomas, to finish the World final is no mean feat, amazing... same again next year, be easier next year, the World Final is on dirt 😊 or shale as we call it... safe trip home fella 👍
thankyou for coming over! was great to have you out there!
If we had racing like that in the US ,there would be a fist fight ever race, love you're videos TMEZ
We do. It's at Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina.
Funny you say that our top drivers that as we say bury eachother shake hands and laugh in the pits swings and round abouts of the sport just check your mirrors next week when there behind it’s why so many fans turn out for it for us uk folk it’s why we say Stock car racing is magic!
@peteanderson970 yes I've witnessed that the police were on the track as well 😊
@@travelling_stephen I lived in North Carolina for almost 20 years and had the chance to go to BGS several times. If you can get past the beating, banging and "circus act," then it's pretty amazing how they, especially the modifieds, get around that small flat track. There's some awesome racing there if you look for it.
You channel popped at the start of your visit ,have loved your coverage ,short track racing is so underrated over here except by the fans that attend. The incar cameras are excellent. And racing with out a neck brace is hard core brother. Am definitely subscribing to your channel.
loved your vids was great getting a outsiders view tbh i think you adapted to both cars well but i cud see you winning races in the f2 ,, please come back
Those big cars look like something from Mad Max in the Thunder Dome!
A great video that starts to showcase the contact element of UK oval racing. Really looking forward to part 2 covering the main event! You did great.
Thanks for coming over, glad you enjoyed yourself and had a run in F2 as well shame you didn't get a Go in the loon's. Hopefully we'll see you back in the future.😊
Taxi cabs is a great descriptor for how these cars appear, and ya, those contacts look brutal! Thanks for sharing your best life and giving your fellow Americans a glimpse into racing in the UK.
AHAHAH I felt that first hit in my office chair! 5:00
That was just a friendly tap from Tom Harris to welcome him to the uk 😅
Great watch, thanks for coming over 👍🏁
I like how your totally outside of your comfort zone but also embracing it. Contact racing is a different beast for sure, the cars in New Zealand are another step contact wise to the UK, far more rigid. After you have been doing it for a while you hardly feel the pushes out of the way and you know when you do feel it, it was indeed pretty big.
So good to meet you t-mez! I was certainly cheering you on you done the US proud with how you drove and got the UK behind you too something you don’t see often! Be epic to see you next year on the dirt man be in your own world out there, maybe show Tom how it’s done!
Pleasure to meet you T Mez. Nice guy to chat with, had a lot of time for fans. How it should be. All the best buddy 👍
Man, it's always a great day when Tmez drops a video!
Brilliant video. You have really done well to race so quickly.
Keep it coming and come back soon.
Will definitely follow you racing in the US.
What a great video and glad you enjoyed it look forward to your next video and will definitely keep track of you racing and hope you get over here again next season
That's awesome!!!! You did really good.😁
Thank you for the excellent content and the entertainment you provided on your trip over in the UK. Would be great to see you come over again next year for the F1 World Championships at Kings Lynn on the dirt. All the very best for your racing Tmez.
That was so funny to watch I nearly wet me pants in laughter
You should check out banger racing as well tmez we go the same way as the saloons but with a stripped out road car with a cage, door plate and other safety equipment. It's similar to your demolition derby cars except no amouring and its oval racing but full contact so you could literally hit a opponent flat out and wreck their car. If you would like to check it out I'd recommend Short Oval Racing UK on RUclips they also recorded this Brisca F1 World Final. Or my on-board footage. We loved having you here mate😁🏁
we run all these classes in aussie but we run the traditional direction other than sidecar bikes the run in clockwise and on dirt of course. love the channel. keep driving. Eric Bain
Great to see what else is around the world
In Germany, racing there, we bolted 1×6s to the doors, outside instead of metal "nerf" bars. Rubbing is racing, and the bump and run were standard. You look like you have adapted. Good luck.
We run post and rope for stockcars at Sheffield have a look on here there’s plenty of video search Yorstox’s Sheffield
These cars go against every instinct you have a sprint car guy. You got close to hitting the 12 car and you can almost read you thoughts of touch him but don't hit him. Cool experience for sure. Keep grinding and living the best life!!
Those bump and run hits were no joke!!
Wild racing for sure. I watched some of it sunday night crazy how cars are stopped on the track and their still racing. Thanks
Hopefully you enjoyed your experience enough to contemplate giving it another bash.. It’s on dirt next year
Glad you enjoyed your weekend out of your comfort zone
Need to get the funding and return next year as the World Final next year is on shale
love it! would love for you to come back next year on the dirt
I wasn't aware of you until you came over but really enjoying your content man, got a new fan for life in me.
I am wore out and out of breath just watching this! You are doing great.
Love it. Thanks for sharing this.
Talk about Bumper cars😂You Rock! Thank You so much ❤
Great to see you in the pits at Skeggy Hope you witnessed the “the big hit” at the end of the big race
Safe homeward journey and see over the pond
Anthony Simone would have been a GOD in that deal....😂
You picked it up pretty quick!
Hahaj, but he was more of a squirrel 🐿️ that was all over the track
You never forget that first hit
Did an amazing job having never dealt with contact before.
Brilliant video.
Brilliant T-MEZ, hope you enjoyed you taste of proper stock car racing
No way one of your crew members has a Corey Day shirt on !!
A lot different than the Australian stocks where they stop and wait and crash you with teammates, here it looks like straight up racing, but you can bump a slower car to move them for positions. Great racing, fantastic crowds.
Great stuff Love you guys safe travels!! 🏁🏁
Brilliant 👏 👏 thanks for the upload
Fun to watch, and obviously, it is racing, but what I connected them to was the bumper car rides in an amusement park. 😅
You must have some big ass crazy, powerful expensive bumper cars!!
@@calvinlewis7200 No, but smacking into each other was the fun part, just like those racers. I'll be following that series on RUclips. Fun stuff.
@@drewpierce2273 search unlimited banger racing uk ... pahahah
My neck hurts just watching.
Great Channel ! and superb effort outside your normal type of racing, good to chat and i hope your headache has subsided!! see you next year ?
Glad you enjoyed it buddy and don't be scared to use the bumper, because they'll sure as they hell have you in the fence in the blink of an eye😂
BASHCAR! Awesome Thomas.
So awesome Thomas. Must have some pressure on your shoulders, the American racing the English Stock car.
That's cool racing
I think they would be welcome at Bowman-Gray Stadium!
Good shit!!! Look fun to drive
hardest hitters in the game are over in nz not the UK haha, hardest hitters would be jayden ward, harley robb, kaelin mooney, jack miers, peter rees, the levien boys etc.
Back next year for dirt world final 🙏
This is the type of racing most up and coming dirt drivers need to race in
When you are back in NZ hopefully there is some Superstock Teams racing on. That is like rollerderby in stockcars.
It's like the video game wreckfest lol gotta love it and hate it all at the same time
They sure know how to make use of the bump and run! 😁
That’s wreck and crash. That’s reminds me of the super modifies at San Jose, can’t pass them, wreck em lol
I has to be a controlled hit otherwise it could be an expensive loss (unless it’s the last bend of a world final then you don’t shut off😂)
Fun to watch starts are unusual yellow flags are not used and apparently 8 tires have more grip than 4😅
I see! It’s giant bumper cars. You and practice at home. Have fun. Cya john. “The jumpin roo!😂
Pretty sure this is where cannon Mac learned how to race
You looked your best in the F2 its looked closer to a Midget , you seemed to look more comfortable in it
It was a little midget for sure
Just under 500kg they are good fun
@@DavoSayco minimum 660 kg 👍🏁
Looks like the UK version of Bowman Gray stadium
I would love to see some NASCAR, IndyCar, and F1 drivers in these things for an invitational.
I haven’t got run into yet and 5 minutes later Tom smokes you 😂😂
That was a love tap.
Pilot😎 looking forward to seeing you in the main race
Full contact
Looks like a lot of fun. The two cars similar to midgets and sprints. Slow in, fast off.
Hooley Dooley
How fast are these cars?.....what 5lbs per hp?...do they have any 1.5lb per hp cars over there?
Our tracks aren’t long enough to warrant that kind of power.
Look at the New Zealand ENZED Team Champs at Palmerston North for hits get a ride when you come back 😂
Can i humbly suggest try clocking your hands more to the right on asphalt, that way your closer to 3 and 9 in the turns and not so twisted to left. It worked for me. just a suggestion.
13:38 LOL
Looks like 1 lane racing. the smaller car looks more fun to drive! squirly!
More offset on LF wheel ?
Glad you enjoyed your 1st taste of racing in the uk. Just imagine them cars on shale with full contact and then having another thing that could hurt you is the fence itself not like this at Skegness but Sheffield which is post and rope (steel I beam 5 steel ropes) you don’t bounce off it tends to pull you in and stop you dead
ruclips.net/video/oVBsCexW8hw/видео.htmlsi=ZJ2uVoZyJUYbCTcO
Pip pip
It's Europe, everyone has to have the same, be the same so of course so do the cars
Long time race fan from the USA..
Not a fan of hit someone to move them to able to pass them. It’s racing not it’s bumper cars or crash up derby.
It doesn’t look like racing
UK and mainland europe have different classes. Also lots of non contact ones. But even there with that amount on that little track some contact is normal
It’s racing, the top drivers are awesome. It’s not just a case of crashing it’s controlled aggression and if you get it wrong you can end up fencing yourself. The contact is an art in itself and not an easy thing to get right. I’m sure T-Mez would agree that there is a significant amount of skill to it. Tom doesn’t race at the Chilli bowl because he crashed well 😂
you did great but that is more of a demo derby!!🤣
Nothing like it
Nar, if you saw it live you would understand it more. It’s hard to fully understand it from a video.
4000lb car with 1000lbs of bumpers. 😂
You drove a monster truck?!
👍. odd
We share our birth date! (However, you are 28 years younger than me... !)
Was that an IKEA
Think it was Lidl - which is groceries 😀
Be bad@ss
Looks like it hurts l could see your arm fly off the wheel, probably not the best for your shoulder.
Please be careful taking hits with your concussion history
WWF racing........
Take the guardrails off and do some real racing blokes. 😂
Damn those junk cars rip....the f1 looks like it gives a new meaning to rattle your cage the f2 looks like they dont drive so hot....for me its more exciting to see the f1 on dirt. Prolly sore and have a headache but had to be a different experience for sure
Full contact my ass, next time you down in nz come have a skid in a superstock and experience REAL STOCKCAR racing with TRUE full contact, those british guys cant handle proper contact.
Hmm how many times has the world 240 championship come back to the UK 3? I believe we hit as hard as any at your team championships and nearly won it one year!
Think the Lions that came over did not perform to bad as did Wainman. But it is always difficult doing different things as a ones off ones a year
@@hwsascha yeah with illegal holds, they had mutliple instances of the same hold that killed Stephen Penn and yet it was let slide
@@hwsascha agreed , however Wainmann took the NZ world back to the UK on 3 occasions and the lions 3 times finalist and 1 3rd place with one of the highest % of wins of all teams so not bad considering they can only race once a year. Just shows how good they are as the return is never as successful.
@@calvinlewis7200 3 out of how many years has the event been run?
I don't know seems lame
Yes they like different things across the pond.
Which part? The giant crowd? Or TMEZ touring the world entertaining us?
@@Jackslashtvthank you Buckley!! 🏁🏁
I’m sure Tmez doesn’t think they are lame, 700+bhp V8 and full contact……..It’s a tough and brutal game
where are you from? to say its lame can only be from someone who never has seen that in person. Hope you are from US. If talking about lame.. go watch your Demo Derbys.. nothing more lame than that against UK Banger racing. Maybe it looks lame cause the tracks are way smaller than the US ones so the speed seems slow but let me tell you.. for that little tracks they are pretty fast
