its annoying how people dont like playing this class, i have maxed it out because no one plays it. rifleman class should be the last class chosen once support, anti tank, engineer, machine gunner assault and automatic rifleman or medic have been chosen for the squad. having 3 riflemen no AT, no support and no MG weakens the squad because their abilities and some of the challenges you will face out on the battlefield. Having an anti tank with a bazooka, an assault with satchels and and engineer with satchels or being able to build defenses on a point for example. For new players just try and get into a squad with a Squad lead who is communicative he will tell you what is needed to be done. In fact playing as support is a better way to learn about the game more so than a rifleman as you need to stick with your SL and he will tell you where he wants the supplies, all you need to do is ask and people in your squad will tell you.
As an SL, right at the beginning I just say I need AT, MG, Support and Engineers. If no one switches I just assume they are new and explain why I need them. Been mostly good so far.
I literally just took up the support role for my very 1st time 2 nights ago with a communicative SL who asked me to switch to support, i had no experience whatsoever but he was great & explained everything & we coordinated efforts & played a few rounds side by side with him to get the hang of it. Picked it up super fast & now i look forward to runnin it the way it's supposed to be run helping SL, Engineer's & AT's & the team overall. I agree with you, it's a fun role, it's also vital. More boots need to fill this role.
You play support because it helps your team win and makes your teammates' lives easier. I play support because I get to carry around the cool radio. We are not the same.
One of the most fun offensive play-styles is to team up with an AT guy and go tank hunting. It’s fun to drop an explosive ammo box so he can resupply after putting two rockets into a tiger.
Thanx for the extra tips mate, i been playing HLL for 2 years & mostly play all combat roles, but with the influx of new players on console due to GP, i felt i needed to step it up & learn something else so that i have something to teach the new guys in addition to providing more assistance to other roles. Just started having a red hot crack at support class & i'm really enjoying it. We need more boots to fill the role i reckon. My SL the other day asked me to switch to support & i warned him that i had never ran support before & he was all to happy to help & we worked & coordinated efforts together on the fly. Now i'm keen to hop back in & confidently play the role. This video was helpful for picking up a few extra tips...So cheers mate from Australia.

@@NotSenz definitely enjoyed it but was frustrating. I came into the game knowing it would be a big learning curve so I enjoyed it. Now just need to understand what the hell im supposed to be doing and understand the objectives haha
@@nickhartmann8836 It'll be frustrating for a little bit, especially all of the dying and trying to figure out how to "actually" play the game. Playing Support or Medic is a really good way to help the team while still learning how to play the game as a whole. I hear that it also helps to try and find people to play with; I wouldn't know since I always play alone.
Communicating w/ your Squad Leader is key. If they are decent they will guide you with pings and instructions for your class about what they and command want you to do.

HQ : how to get supplies quickly there? Any amt NODEs limited within a square/section/row? Also, a situation where a supply truck is "stuck" and it is loaded: Can a satchel charge blow up truck and does the supplies put " back into inventory"? Or, is all lost? I find that I spawn at HQ and drop supplies (50) then re deploy and build a node. I keep doing this until all thee are built. My understanding that the limit of nodes that can be built by a SQUAD is 9. This means to pass the title along to others in a rotation. Never have seen that in game. Great teaching aid!
I cannot answer all of these flawlessly. There are 2 types of battles, warfare and defensive. Most of the time you won’t be able to drop supplies from a truck until you cross into the 3rd row. I think you can in one of these type of battles. What you can do is drive right up to that 2nd row and drop as your truck crosses into the 3rd. Your suppy crate will be close enough to build nodes and still be in the rearward sectors. A stuck truck is lost with supplies stuck in it. Leave it running and it will destroy itself in time. A tank could be used to push it free. Node limit is 3 of each. Don’t know if 1 squad can rotate engineers to build all of them.
Does cycling support between 2 squad members restart the cool down? Can I have a support drop supplies, die amd another player spawn as support and drop supplies immediately or do they also haveto wait?
I don't see why it wouldn't, because it's two separate people. With that being said, I'm unsure if your supplies would stay if switching classes, either. I think that would be something to try out in-game to see if it actually works like that. If you do try to do that, please let me know of the outcome!
No. You supplies cooldown will still be running. I jump from supplyguy to another role while I’m waiting when necessary or teamates can rotate rolls to drop 2 boxes behind enemy lines.

@@johnnottahcal5725 supply trucks will drop a crate of 150 supplies out the back when you press the F button as the driver. A supply truck can hold two crates with 150 supplies each. To refill a supply truck you must physically drive the truck back to an HQ spawn point, and drive it near the big crane-looking thing by the spawn point. That's it's an ammo Depot, and it will immediately replenish the two supply crates in the truck. You are now good to go and make more deliveries. You can spend an entire game ferrying supplies to points, and it will both net you a large support effectiveness score, and be extremely helpful to engineers on your team trying to reinforce an objective.
@@johnnottahcal5725 oh yeah, steep learning curve, still on it myself. It's very tempting to specialize, but I've learned that getting familiar with every class makes you more aware of what each member of your squad is capable of, and can help you work with them to the fullest of their ability. For instance the AT class has a loadout that can set up an anti-tank howitzer that can decimate enemy tanks, but it requires supply to build and is static so it's easy to kill the crew from the sides with infantry. An excellent strategy then is to have a rifleman drive a truck and put down supply, the AT guy builds his gun, then an engineer builds barricades on the flanks to protect the gun crew made up of the rifleman and AT guy. You now have a hard point defense against enemy armor, and if you put it in the right direction in a concealed location, their armor doesn't stand a chance on the offensive. This is something you learn from playing both of these classes. Specializing in only one makes you a lot less dynamic, since you'd be much less likely to put these abilities together and coordinate them.
Shortened guide: follow around squad leaders virtually begging them to build a garrison with your supplies while your team is slowly crushed due to constant flanking caused by everyone spawning in the same damn area. Be ignored. Watch vets say "ez" in the chat because they took out a tank or two, refusing to actually admit they lost the match. Came in expecting some coordination like Foxhole.
