This is timeless. Just watching Sjierra bouncing around while the others are playing says it all. Hope I get to see Del again a true national treasure. DEL YEAH!
Some of the best singers singers and musicians you will ever hear, not a bad player in the bunch. I am 83 and sick but sure would like to see Del-fest.
You are only one year older than me. We are old enough to know good music when we hear it and this is good music! Blind Lemon was soul before there was soul.
What a unique jam session! So many talented individuals in a room! The music is mesmerizing! First heard this song covered by BB King. Y’all nailed it!
Brilliant and moving version of Lemon’s classic. Stirring vocals and harmonies and impeccable musicianship. A master class in American traditional music. Usually known by the original title “See That My Grave Is Kept Clean” , it was first recorded by BLJ in 1927. Flawless performances.
no hiding pure talent,,, the room is flooded with all the talent it can stand ,,, like a fine tuned racing engine. and was just thrown together as an idea.
Man oh man! The Cohen Bros should get ahold of all you for movie soundtracks! Nice camera work too as such great music and you wonder how it comes so amazingly together as I love seeing the miracle in action of what makes a musical phenomenon like this come together. The intricate variations and finger and flat picking so great! Also the voices, wow! I can just tell it comes right from your souls! Spectacular vocals! Thanks to all of you!

Bob Dylan included this on his first album, 1960 or 61. Very different rendition but worth a listen. 😂I recall wondering what kind of sound a coffin makes. I was, I guess, 12. He covers Roy Acuff, too. A very good first album. John Hammond was the producer, I think.
You're all fantastic. I grew up on 60s/70s rock, heavy metal, and punk, so this is all new to me. Found you from youtube popping up a link to your cover of "For What it's Worth". Now I can't get enough.
@oegaziz43 I doubt that is the case - just a person only experiencing these and not Bluegrass. I have a friend and he and I both like and play Folk / Bluegrass. He can't see how I also like Jazz. I think we humans have room to enjoy all types of music.
Oh my gosh I love this! I heard a rendition of this song recently by Peter, Paul and Mary...but love this more--very haunting. Superb vocals and amazing musicianship! Thanks for sharing.
Is there any way of purchasing the sound only version of this session? I would prefer CD to keep me company on my 1000 mile motorcycle ride this summer. Going to be singing along the whole time as I travel through western Canada.
The world needs more music and less conflict these days especially.
What a joy it would be to play music with these people.
