Sister... You are so right! I met our Heavenly Father about 28 yrs. ago and haven't the same. After I read your comment I immediately had to reply. I'm going through a little bit of a tough time yet God comforts and gives me 💗 strength and the motivation to go through this with love and understanding. Sometimes. For not all know Him like I have been "rescued" by my favorite and real Hero that I can always rely on. May He bless us all. Thanks for the reminder, since I was not feeling as loving earlier.
I started dating and didn’t realize how pulled back from church I had become because he was Christian too so we talked about God a lot. When everything was over it really hit me that even though he’s a Christian man he distracted me from God not brought me closer to him. In love I was convincing myself the total opposite that he was bringing me closer to God but in the course of dating for 6 months we only went to church together once. I think it’s so important to recognize when you become blinded by love because this can really affect your relationship with God & some people will use your relationship with God to manipulate you. But God is more powerful than that! He will give you signs and revelations Do not ignore them! I’m a people pleaser & the hardest thing about it is ignoring unethical comments so that the person doesn’t feel confronted. But walking away from people you want to please so bad is the best decision ever. Walking away doesn’t feel so bad as being rejected. So if he’s not bringing you closer to God he’s distracting you. & it’s better to walk away and never ever ever ever look back. Because if you do you will regret it. God is the only one we should run to time after time after time. He’s the only one we should please.

This is amazing. I struggled with this people pleasing thing so much today that I cried and asked God for help. I opened my bible and there was psalm 107. Similar to the verses you quoted here I had actually just highlighted the parts about distress (verses 13 & 14) in yellow! I decided for myself to speak out those words during the coming week.

I lost what I thouht was friends to be in relationship with Jesus.. God sure knows how to separate us from those not right for us is all I know........ I rather walk alone with Jesus than be mixed with wrong people... Yes rejection, sander,persecution etc will come sadly mostly through religious folks and even some family who have religion /not relationship... At the end of the day its Jesus for me .. ..
Friend this comment hit home. It is sad but it’s for our greater purpose. I am thankful for the people god has removed from my life because it clears my vision in Gods word
