As someone who is currently doing an apprenticeship learning typography, i get lost in just having to learn the stuff we need to know in Ps (and the other adobe programs) and thus i lose interest in being creative, but seeing you make such cool stuff really inspires me to try using those programs in a different way! So thank you, keep doing great things man!
Thats great to hear Karla, thanks for the support! Sometimes we all feel like that, you just need to find something new to motivate you! if you don't feel creative, go try something new, go somewhere different etc, I'm only a few years on from you, keep smashing it!
Im mind blown & kinda annoyed w myself for not realizing Bevel & Emboss was the key to this effect the entire time!!!!! Ive used the effect sooo many times lol. Wow thank you. Life saving!!!
man i really got excited while watching your video. i'm from brazil and i don't even know the word to express how amazing your video and art were. congrats
I wanted you to know i followed this pretty much step by step using GIMP 2.10 instead of photoshop and it worked amazingly still, surprisingly simple and effective :)) thank you soooo much fam
Awesome tutorial! Thanks for taking the time to make it. Love the bit in the beginning where you differentiate the types of chrome effects we've seen before in the 80s/90s!
thanks for sharing! really nice work, I love to see how other designers use tools that I might not always go for even after being on photoshop daily for the last 15 years!
1. Loving the ease of your explanations etc, great videos! 2. I have a logo i want to make have chrome effect but, I get so far and the effects just go strange. Not sure where I am going wrong but could do with help, something that would only take a pro 5 mins to do is taking me forever.
The trend shifted literally just after you posted this lol. Now most people just use the actual 3D render function in Photoshop. This is still a good technique to learn tho, I'm sure there's a billion ways to put a twist on it for different projects
This tutorial is amaziiiiing!!! I was wondering... if I were to design a t-shirt with this chrome effect, what format do you recommend I should export the design?

OMG LOVE IT! GREAT TUTORIAL! Tip: Use a mic. Its pretty hard to understand what ur saying beacause the camera captures a lot of room noise.
Thanks, yeah I have a better mic now
You should try other tutorials, they have computers with stupid loud fans and other random noises, this is so peaceful compared to those😂
