Beautiful country. I used to fish the streams in that area twenty some years ago. Love it.

Your Triumph sounds good, Tim. How far is it from West Virginia to Kansas?

Peter, from my house in northern Virginia to my daughter's house in northeast Kansas it's 1265 miles if you ride a more or less direct route. I took the less direct route 🙂. So, from the middle-ish of northern West Virginia to northeast Kansas it's about a thousand miles more or less direct route.

Also, Peter, the Triumph exhaust note is a (now) funny story. Turns out that I made the mistake of having the "Wind Noise Reduction" setting activated on the camera(s) for the whole danged trip. So, I had to flail around a bit to recover some element of the exhaust note recording. Pretty much all we hear in this series of videos now is the putt putt of the exhaust vice the usual additional road, wind, tire, chain, gear, vehicles, etc., noise that got wiped by the wind noise reduction...

Well that's a long way so you must be very fit. It's so annoying isn't it to find out when you get back that something was incorrectly set. At least you recorded the video - I've had a few instances when nothing recorded at all!!

Oh, I'm not particularly fit 😁. I took my time, turning a two or three day trip into a five day pleasure outing. And I stop and stretch every hour to attend to camera battery swap outs and memory card management. I am safe out of afternoon weather events and into a hotel usually by 3pm.
