Coup d'etat cost only 65000 dollars not 1000000 dollars. What American Coup d'etat was forcing Shah to dismiss Mossadegh. This is considered by Iranian people Coup d'etat. The fact that Mossadegh close Iranian national assembly after monitory commission of assembly ask to look to finances of its government. Then Mossadegh ask for referendum then. Mossadegh referendum was conducted one week before so called coup d'etat people can vote only Yes and No for Mosaddegh (yes vote in Baharstan square and No in Topkhane Square) at the time of martial. These were real reasons for Mossadegh dismissal.

Keep in mind the Shah appointed him as MP, you need to credit the late king. However, Mosadegh was not a good negotiator, he refused President Truman's offer. He was not realistic, he wanted the oil company solely run by Iranians when we did not have enough skilled laborers.
In the end, had sympathy for communism!!!

Ahmad Shah did change 15 prime ministers. 1- Nationalities oil was bad for Iran. 2-Mosadegh was ruling Iran for two years like dictator and brock the Iranian constitution may times.

Ahmad Shah Qujar had remove at list 15 prime ministers during time when national assembly was close. Mossadegh closed the national assembly when monitory commission of assembly try looking to its government finances. He was bricking the Iranian constitution law. Shah not only legal power to dismiss Mossadegh in this case has duty to do so.

@@keyvankohangadol another slanted take of facts, Shah was a weak paper tiger, a shadow of his father, he simply did not have the balls or the know how at that time. He chose to run something he practiced again in 1979 but to his determent he was gone for good that time.
