Congrats on an awesome bull. Love the determination you had on the bull making sure you did everything in your power to determine if he was still running or down much respect to you 99% would of just gone and taken another. You are the definition of a true sportsman
Thank you! We had a tough go last year with a similar situation. The middle of the week was tough for us because we didn’t want to have to go through that again.
great video, I'm curious to know if you found the first bullet hole that created that blood trail. There would have been three holes total not counting the one in the head that didn't penetrate. Also, I'm putting in for the Maine lottery for the first time this year, wish me luck.
@@zacharyedwards48 the bullet in the skull actually ricocheted instead of penetrating. We’ve seen it happen before with how strong a moose skull is it can withstand a 30-06 with federal ammo. (We switched to Barnes bullets right after). The first shot must have hit one of the trees instead of a vital area. So total there were only 2 bullets found in this bull with one obvious ricochet. Good luck in the lottery! We may have availability to guide if you’re looking for one check our website!
That was a fight wound between its eyes not the same moose , less then 48 hours would of looked like a fresh wound and if a bullet hit that spot it wouldn’t of walked away…
@@RobertBizzarrino-mx1vs it was a fresh wound with blood just healing up… And that is the strongest part of a moose skull and very rare to be able to kill a moose in that area.

Good job sticking with that bull. Your perseverance paid off. Congratulations and great video.
Thank you! Feels great to pull it off at the end of the week!
U did everything right. A lot of people don’t give half as much time to try and recover a wounded animal. Congrats man bull well deserved

Great video!! Just wondering what the little picture reader is?
I believe that one is a wild game innovations reader. Can find them right at Walmart
