Great stream! Sorry I couldn’t stay. Just watched the replay. I am really liking these Kiloview devices. I could think of a million use cases for that encoder.
First, I’d like to thank you for the very informative video. I’m very interested in this product. Regarding the E3, can you do the following scenario: Hook up on hdmi source and hdmi to sdi adapted source. Then stream individually to separate rtmp streams. Example: one source to RUclips and the other to Facebook simultaneously. Can you do the above while still pumping out two individual ndi feeds for local use as well? It says it can also do iso recordings for each input with a usb hard drive. Have you tried that yet? Sorry for so many questions, just thought it might be useful for myself and others to know. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for commenting. Regarding your first inquiry, yes this is possible. Haven’t tried pushing NDI while doing the above. As far as your recording inquiry, this feature has been marketed, but hasn’t actually been made available just yet. Kiloview said once they are done with beta testing, they will release via firmware upgrade.
Thank you for watching! The E3 does not support 29.97 or 59.97, instead it supports straight up 30 and 60 frames per second. So if you shoot in 29.97 or 59.97, then it will be an issue. However, if you shoot straight up 30 or 60, you should be fine.
@@QuikTechSolutions I see. So, does that mean the information on the official website's Video Formats section is incorrect?(There, it states "Supported in SDI input&loop-out:1920×1080p 23.98/24/25/29.97/30/50/59.94/60fps.")
@rusanchi_man you certainly are correct, their website does say exactly this. However, I don’t remember seeing these frame rates as options. I will double check again. They also claim it can record to SSD or NAS. I also don’t see this option either. When I inquired with Kiloview, they said recording was still in beta. I have a feeling marketing jumped the gun with this device. Just my opinion.
So, Kiloview did release a firmware upgrade on 11/2/23 that included the recording feature. I have not yet have a chance to explore this feature. Back to the frame rate issue, so they do advertise that they support 29.97 & 59.97 video source in both HDMI & SDI. However, after doing some more extensive testing today, I discovered that the E3 upscales that video source input. For example, it sees 23.98 video coming into the device and upscales it to 24. The odd thing is it takes 29.97 and you would think it upscales to 30, but it upscales 29.97 to 60. It's got to be some kind of bug that I plan to report to them. Now, you have the option of encoding with a custom frame rate, but only integers. If you select custom frame rate and type in 29.97 it defaults to 30. That's all I have for now.

Thanks for popping in earlier and for watching the replay. I’m really loving these devices. Can’t wait to test out Epiphan Connect tomorrow.
If you ever get a chance to provide some feedback on, how it performs outdoor, that would be great!

@@QuikTechSolutions thank you so much for responding. Currently watching you talk about mix effect. You are great with information.
@Urbanmediashowcase thanks so much!
Hello. Thank you for the wonderful video. I found a review mentioning issues with 29.97p and 59.94p inputs at B&H. Is this a fact?

How many audio channels do these devices handle?
Hi Brian, thanks for watching. I believe this particular model handles two audio channels.
