Soooo glad to here it looks like you have an ideal Macro Field Practicum! Look at you making Lemonade with those lemons!!!! In true social worker fashion...Problem Solved!!!!
I believe problem-solving is one of the characteristics social workers need because if pivoting wasn't our middle name, I don't know what is. Thank you so much. I am enjoying this placement.
I'm in CBT right now! I also obvi took the advanced clinical diagnosis and assessment but those are our only overlaps! I totally agree that the faculty has been amazing, even with the asynch out the wazoo
I love your all videos. Thank you for your content. I have just been accepted to Fordham, and I am so happy. Unfortunately, I might not be able to accept the seat, as I'm torn between Lehman College. I was wondering about the workload (roughly how many papers are given in a course). Also, are there any exams given online or in person?
If i am honest the first semester I planed monthly outings so that I didn’t neglect my personal life. As of right now I am on the struggle bus but thats because I wear a lot of hats. I would recommend planning and sticking to me time, family time and social time. I know the 16 month program is a bit less stressful. You got this!
Thanks for making this video! How is the cost with Fordham?? I’m in Boston and I’m thinking about applying but I’m not sure how generous they are with their scholarships. And I’m a little nervous about the field placement aspect lol, but that is cool that you were able to find one through your own networks!
Fordham has scholarships to offer always ask because that gets you the resources you need. Also is, you plan on starting in the Fall, look into other places like the NASW and other social work agencies that provide scholarships.
Yes I took my practicum class that meet once a month to support what I was learning in field. Out of moth programs I enjoyed the flow of Fordhams Practicum class the most.
@@ItsResiayall Thanks for replying, I appreciate it!. I want to attend Fordham but I am a bit nervous about taking courses and practicum at the same time.

I love you content and it's so been so helpful. I just got accepted to Fordham for the fall semester. It's been about 3-4 weeks since I was accepted but I was never sent a financial aid award letter. Do you remember how you accessed your financial aid info or an award letter? how long after being accepted? thank you so much
Hey there, congratulations. Have you logged into your My Fordham portal? There should be a tab that says my pages where you can click to access the Financial Aid portal. Let me know if that helps
I just got accepted for the part time 16 month advanced standing online msw. I start in the fall! My question is, is there a way to make my classes more clinical rather than macro? I know there are 4 domains to choose from… but in your opinion was there a good variety of choices?
Yes, with Fordham, you have complete autonomy after you take one class in each domain. Focus more on the clinical classes, individual groups, and family courses. I highly recommend the grief and loss course and the suicide course.
i believe that you can request to do a masters level dissertation but will require an additional 6 credit hours. Its not part of the GSS program requirements for a MSW.
Great video! You are completely right about the field placement department - it is wack!
Looking forward to watching more of your videos and updates!
They really need to invest in field directors with a stronger background in SW
Much appreciated. ❤
I am starting my MSW online this month. Advanced Standing. Thanks for your videos.
Congratulations on Starting wishing you success and grace.
Congrats Ms Jae and many blessings on your journey!!
Thank you so much
Amazing video very helpful and insightful 👌🏾

Can you switch to the in person classes if you want? I might want to start online and move in person if possible
Also was your field placement online or in person?
Good video and informative! How do you manage your time in school and personal life?I’m interested in going full time and completing in 16 months.

Hello, I hope you're doing well! I was wondering if Fordham's MSW program gives you the option to write a thesis ?
i believe that you can request to do a masters level dissertation but will require an additional 6 credit hours. Its not part of the GSS program requirements for a MSW.
@@ItsResiayall Okay, thank you ! I'll speak to an advisor to gather more information.
