- Studio City: the town where it all happens in LA. You may have never heard of it, but you probably grew up with it, being the backdrop for a good number of TV shows. Here's the story of how I spent the day exploring around the neighborhood.

I really love your content, as I really LOVE L.A. I stayed in an Airbnb in Studio City a few years ago and absolutely LOVED it!!! Can't wait to finally move there from boring Cleveland, Ohio.
By all means, move here. It’s fun!
Girl studio city is my fav part of LA too it’s sooo cute and vibey ❤
Welcome to the valley!!
First timer here and I'm subscribing because I like your easy going presentation. I used to live in B.H, back in the 70's and so much has changed and not for the better. I now live in a New York , suburb, very similar feel to B.H. and I'm very happy here but, from time to time I get nostalgic and watching vlogs about LA, makes me feel that I'm there again. Thank you, Michael.
I used to live in Studio City, a place called Arch Drive right off Ventura Blvd. It was OK, but nothing to get excited about. Most of the time it was so smoggy that you couldn't see to the end of a couple of blocks, and forget any vista from a hillside as the smog was like a dirty veil over everything, except right after a heavy rain when it looked clean for a couple of days. Frankly, I don't miss the place at all.
lol at the Malcolm phone call!!
Thank you for such a great video, the wife and I look forward to these! Hope you have a great day!
I'm a big fan of your videoss you are amazing
Appreciate it!
You're not lying when you say L.A. is becoming unaffordable. Been here my whole life and living way east of downtown. I don't know how people are doing it anymore man. Love the videos.🍻
hopefully I will visit there soon once I leave rainy grey London
just to add i dont live far from westminister abbey but i rather visit the brady bunch house instead soon lol
LOL nice change of scenery!
@@MichaelMartello Totally lol but on a serious note this video was very interesting as I was checking an old letter from a friend who went from here and was living out there for a while working at a music studio 'Sunshine Entertainment' on Blix street as it says on the letter. And he use to tell me this is the place to be if you are creative like you mentioned at the end of the video which is why he loved LA before his visa run out . Anyway im coming next and moving into the brady bunch house when no one is looking lol
@@mystikrebel1089 you don't live far from westminster abbey? how rich are you?! I'm from London too but from Harlesden. Also looking to visit LA again.
@@bluebellbeatnik4945 im not rich but i live in redbridge about an hour away by train unless I plan to squat in Buckingham palce soon so might get closer lol How was LA the first time you went ?
Thanks for sharing. I would hv never seen or driven on these streets. Nice to see.😊
Man, I like you channel, it’s really cool 😉
Wait, Aroma still exists?? I went there regularly like 12 years ago but someone told me they closed permanently and I stopped going there.
Interesting -- it's still standing!🙂
Love this video! How about a informational/vlog video of the Garden Grove, CA area?
Wonderful views from up there, indeed! Thank you!
How about dedicating a whole video to the wonderful Mulholland Drive? 😊
I used to live in Studio City. Back in the day it used to be considered a low key secret gayborhood. Rich gays lived on the hill side, poors in the flats. There were actually 3 or 4 gay bars right there on Venture Blvd. Think they are all gone now but the names live on. Apache, Oil Can Harry's, The Queen Mary - which was a drag bar with a full stage and tables set up for a dinner show.
Cool history, I didn't know this. Around what era was Apache, Oil Can Harry's, The Queen Mary open? 1970s? 80s? Before the incorporation of West Hollywood in the early 80s?
@@mjg239 those bars were open into the late 90's. But were more popular in the 80's.
at what time did you visit the universal city overlook to experience the sunset? Love your videos btw ☺️☺️🫶🏻
Thanks!! Whenever the sunset is haha, it's be bit of a trek up so maybe 30 minutes before.
Haha you said “Moo-Holland.” Hahaha 😂
I know, you beat me to it. MOOOOOO😂
🐮
Disneyland
I'm planning a move to CA pretty soon, what do you suggest as the top ten afforable cities?
Do you have a video exploring downtown LA? I feel like it's the most New York like area in LA especially where the last bookstore is however I haven't actually been there. I am just gauging this from youtube videos. Would be good to know your thoughts.
I’m planning to make one!
Any tips for someone looking for a room to rent -- WestSide BestSide
Michael I' m feeling really bad, please give me a like to cheer me up
