Hi Kelly, I loved this video. It's the first time I've seen one of your videos and I'm so glad that I have. It was really informative, I had no idea, before I saw this video, what size crimp tubes to use on Supplemax Illusion Cord!! But now I know that you have to use No.1 crimps by Beadalon, or No.1.5 crimps by Beadsmith, yay!!! I LOVE the super cute necklace you made too, especially the pumpkin 🎃 pendant. Another great way to measure where your crimps go on a necklace is to take a plastic drinking straw and cut a piece off that is the same length as you want your crimps to be apart from each other. So, if you want your crimps to be 1 inch apart, you cut a 1 inch long piece of the straw off. Then, you place the piece of straw on the illusion cord, followed by a crimp, and then press the crimp closed at the point where it sits on top of the piece of straw. Then you take off the straw and add on a bead and another crimp, press that crimp closed, and put the straw on the cord again, and add another crimp. And so on. It's really easy and if you want more space between your crimps, you just cut a longer piece of straw. I hope that made sense. Love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️ xox

Thank you so much for this video. I made a beautiful illusion necklace as a gift. It kept breaking where I crimped and added chain. The chimps must been bad as they could not be folded and crimped and they cut the cording. I also may have pressed too hard but I don’t think so. I will try again with new cording as mine was years old and the crimps you suggested.
