    It would be nice for some narration and explanation of the materials used and why. Does the weight/mass of the water change with the extraction of the hydrogen molecules? If so, how long would such a volume of water last? Interesting video, can't wait to see more from your channel, thanks for sharing!

    • @Heb_N
      @Heb_N 6 месяцев назад +2

      The RUclipsr can't answer your question because they probably had associates that did the math, science, and probably also bought the materials to make this experiment work. What people don't realize is that RUclipsrs aren't geniuses unless they actually have an education in what they're regurgitating to the masses, who then in turn lap it up and assume they're favorite RUclipsr is all knowing and based

      @gc6329 4 месяца назад +3

      The mass of the water does diminish over time as it's being converted into hydrogen gas and oxygen.
      How much is being converted depends on a massive number of variables which includes: the amount of electricity being applied, the resistance of the wires, the conductivity of the cell (the nails) the concentration of the salt within the water, what type of electrolyte is used, atmospheric pressure, the purity of the water, and so on
      You can determine theoretically how much hydrogen and oxygen will be produced under standard conditions, but it's much more useful and easy to simply measure production in the real world
      Try it yourself if you're interested! It's pretty easy and fun to do
      Be careful as a hydrogen and oxygen mixture is literally rocket fuel

    • @MrImadeU
      @MrImadeU 2 месяца назад

      Well there is 2 parts hydrogen in water. So you will utilize 2/3 of the water. And the water essentially evaporates. The reason why you are able to extract it so easily is because Hydrogen is lighter than Oxygen, meaning it will rise to the top, hence the top tube. Once all the hydrogen is out, there will be oxygen coming from the tube.

      I had a friend do something similar as a young teen. Apparently he managed to flash-fry off his eyebrows. I didn't get quite as extreme when I tried it myself as a kid, but I took it a step further and used the DC output of my model train power supply. I kept the anodes and cathodes separate so I got two inverted glasses containing oxygen and hydrogen.

The H2 could still ignite (slower burn, like the Hindenburg) with Oxygen in the Air (only about 20%) The O2 could still cause other things to rapidly Oxidize (e.g. "Burn"). To create them separately you would have to move the electrode (screws in this case) to opposite ends of the tank and capture the H2 and O2 in different paths and different containers.

      Allign your apparatus to the universe to get free energy: TESLA..
      if u can't get more hydrogen by a minimum energy, that's your problem and be a slave of the world!!

      Hydro electric, nuclear, solar, wind, can all supplement

    But why u have used the KOH? Although simple hydrolysis of pure water gives the same gas H2 +O2

      ,, because the number of free ions in "just water" is so low that the process would take a long time. Adding NaOH improves ionisation and extends the life of the electrode.

    If seperate jars are placed over cathode &anode spaced apart,hydrogen can be collected alone and oxygen/Chlorine in second jar

      @@everythingatonce4232 = same water tank. As the HOH is pulled apart -- the H and O go to the separated electrodes on their own.

    remember to clean it once in a while or use distilled water, also the distilled water may slow the efficiency
