  • In this video we test our Custom Bolt Action 22 Nosler @ 100yds using N550 and the 80gr ELDM.
The results were spectacular! We found our powder!
We're on the home stretch of our load development for this project. It's almost time to build some rifles!

Why hasn’t the 22 bowler been more popular? I guess it may be marketing and availability, but this cartridge is showing great potential in capable hands with good equipment. This is a great option for those in the 22 arc, 22creedmoor crowd too. This has been very informative

Thank you for the feedback. As you're seeing the cartridge had incredible untapped potential. It was handcuffed from the beginning by being an AR-15 cartridge. But when you put it in a 2.550" bolt action magazine and get that bullet out of the case, it has amazing performance.
My ONLY complaint is the Nosler brass. It's expensive, soft and mediocre quality. But that's not enough to hold this cartridge back.

Boy, that might be a tall order Yogi. I'll look into it and see what kind of nightmare it would be to export one of these.
      Thanks for your continued support.

Made it look easy with the target bullets but what about a hunting round?

What did you have in mind? This round is adequate for coyotes on down. This project wasn't intended for anything larger than that.
      Thanks for watching!

This is how I select a charge weight. Three loads per charge weight. You are talking me into trying N550 for my .22-250. What’s the secret to consistent seating depth. My case length seems to vary .002

@Not-the-only-one right, this is my more involved method I use when I REALLY want to explore thoroughly.
N550 and H4350 are optimal for a 22-250 with 75gr or heavier bullets.
If you're using traditional lightweight bullets, N133, N135 and N140 would be optimal.
Run the handle like you mean it. Don't baby the bullet into place. Seat it fast and hard, all the way to the stop. And measure to the ogive, always. Never the tip.
