Bought one of these and use it for bending perspex with a heat gun to make sale signs on a display table. Works a treat. Thanks for the honest review. Love the clamps you used, can you tell me where I could purchase a set.

To be fair to Parkside they have just copied a basic version, even down to not including clamps for holding the break bar in place, getting as sharp a bend as possible (typically with thin materials inside radius = thickness of sheet) requires careful setup and if in fact the bar is ground to a sharp corner you won't get as tight a bend as possible, because as the sheet bends up the bend radius will be pushing against the hold down bar corner

2 slides 2 nuts & bolts and you can set the desired thickness but no no why spend 5 cents more parkside ?

Exactly! I was surprised when I saw there is no way to clamp the piece except using your own clamps...

The reason is that you need to adjust the position both vertically and horizontally. By different horizontal settings you define the radius of bending.

Grazie

I had to re-bore the holes for the handels, bore a way to tight it.
The bend is good enough for rough pieces in hidden spots.
    I'm trying to kis myself.
buy this, then the clamps, count the money, the time spent correcting the bad production...
    DON'T buy.
I regret being too lazy to just build one (and I will have to do it)

Not for all their products, some are great for the price and the 3 to 5 years warranty is unbeatable.
