Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Next, Andy skips his way through the CSIDMAN, from Catalinbread. The CSIDMAN is based on the obsolete technology of portable CD players and the anti-shock feature most of them have. The core of the CSIDMAN is a crystal-clear 725ms digital delay with standard controls for Time, Feedback and Mix. Two extra knobs, Latch and Cuts, give you access to a wealth of glitches, chopping and screwing your signal with digital precision. The glitch controls play off one another, turning the Latch knob higher than zero begins the madness by setting the length of the skipping state (memory buffer). The Cuts knob controls the sample rate of the available memory buffer, which translates to skipping speed. Though the pedal is useful as an ambient glitch computer, it's incredibly responsive to picking dynamics. The cuts and skips can play for long periods of time depending on knob position, and picking softly will trigger soft glitching, and hammering the strings gives you a host of digital errors. When the Latch control is fully maxed out, it combines with the delay's Feed control to product an endless loop of broken ambience that runs until you stop it. Like all Catalinbread pedals, the Csidman is made right here in Portland Oregon using the finest parts in the land. Видеоклипы
You're killing me, Andy. Your playing ALWAYS inspires me to play more and play differently. Your pedal-hawking skills are like a vacuum cleaner to my wallet. You absolutely rock, brother.
i love this comment
John Berg I know!! He can sell anything!!!
You know, when I first saw this pedal on Catalinbread's website, I thought "I'll buy this, but only if someone convinces me to." PGS has officially convinced me with this demo. :D
Andy is such a clean spot on player. Thank you for all the time spent doing demos and reviews sir!
Great Wilco song! With that krautrock touch, love it
I was hearing Wilco as well!
The pedal companies should have a contest to see if they can create a pedal that Andy can't create something cool with the noises the create.
@@jackityyax4023 in that case he'd just crank the amp and play AC/DC.
This is the perfect pedal to piss off that stick-up-the-ass member of your band. Awesome job as usual, Andy.
why would you wanna piss me off? i am the god of your band. bass is all that matters.
+Does not Exist haha
+Does not Exist what are you talking about? My off pitch vocals are the soul of the band. You all are just dust bunnies on my coat tail.
Wayde Baker just like a drummer to say such nonsense!
Like the concept, and its always nice to see a fresh design in a pedal nowadays.

This pedal is SO COOL. An awesome take on a digital delay.
Really Great demo, man! It shows alot of what the pedal can do in a musical setting!
One of the very very few guitar pedal demo tracks I wish was actually a song on an album. The first few minutes of this video is ABSOLUTE GOLDEN!!!!!!!
Bro...that first tune is an actual song. Check out Wilco’s a Ghost is Born album. I believe that song is one of the first tracks on that record.
Spiders (Kidsmoke) by Wilco, man! Brilliant band, worth checking out for sure...
Man, this sounds amazing! Definitely getting. Not only does it do great weirdo glitchy sounds, but even the standard delays sounds unbelievable. I feel like I'd never use my Carbon Copy again...
Man, I love this dude..... straight to the point.
Andy's face at the end of the video.....just pure joy
Love what you do man
- How many delay boxes can you?! ...well, just one more :)
Awesome demo as usual Andy!
Wilco! Excellent!
Wilco - Spiders (Kidsmoke)
sounds like Jonny's max/msp patch in Go to Sleep
Yes! My first thought.
El mejor demo de pedales de todos los pedales de la historia
Impressive application with "Spiders Kidsmoke" by Wilco! Great ear Andy :)
best pedal demo artist ever!
yep, you made me buy one... good stuff.. glitch and stutter ftw! I will primarily use mine on synths and other electronic instruments, cant wait :)
You're a great guitar player man..
Andy could sell me a DS-1
for real hahaha
nope...not even andy
hahahaha!
To be fair, the 90s version ds1 with the right clipping diodes sounds really good.
I bet he's done the ds1
Andy is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great playing wow
there's been a lot of good delay pedals lately
I feel like this is the type of pedal Trent Reznor would run a synth through for some glitchy goodness.
The NIN rig rundown video brought me here.
My delay wish list keeps growing and growing...
Haha saaaame.
Me too !
never ending...
It goes bigger and bigger !
Quick question: Can you switch off the delay, and only get the "latch" effect? So i bypass the constant delay and only get repeats, when the latch kicks in, with the stuttering glitches?
Not sure if its pedal or Andy's guitar skills...unbelievable demo :)
This is the sickest pedal ever. I fkn swear!!
If I am ever HALF the guitarist Andy is, I'll be a happy camper
Would love to see this with tap tempo and expression pedal input.
I love you Andy
Sick Wilco cover.
It’s so clear how much Wilco wanted their guitars to sound like Tom Verlaine.... amazing demo though. Might have to get this now
For my perhaps urbane taste, well ... I did not know if Wilco, and went to check the original on which this is based. But I liked this much better. Your playing was straightforward, confident, and clear, while the Discman provided an enviable and judiciously applied effect.
Check out the version of "Kidsmoke" on "Kicking Television". It's closer to this sound than the album version.
Reminded me a little of the band, The Kills.
Want. The pedal. The guitar. The skills.
Holy shit. I need this.
I really wanna try this on vocals.
With a detuned guitar this would sound sinister as hell
Animals As Leader - Red Miso Intro. Its amazing.
hey andy, love the reviews, what's the song at 5.43? sounds like a Software track unless they sampled it
Inspired performance
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really drawn to this one. Not sure why. 🤔
Got mine today! OMFG!
Awesome
right on
Sounds sick. Like the Black Keys and Radiohead had a child!
i tell ya h'wat!
oh god
My name is Jonny Hill and I sell Radiohead and Radiohead accessories
Hank: Dang it, bobby, what is this music? sounds like a grown man crying!
Bobby: it's Coldplay, Dad!
Hank: bwaaaaah!!
Hank Hill its a Wilco song 100%
Thats a cool delay right here.
crazy stuff....
After trying the Zero Point I feel like I have to consider Catalinbread for every effect. The Zero Point sounds so unbelievably good and yet subtle that I am not sure how it's not more commonplace. The price isn't really that much worse than some of the pricier Boss stuff.
Wilco!
This sounds like something Roy or Todd from @mutemath would have too much fun with!
#mutemath
this dude can play a guitar !!!
Damn I miss your videos ☹️
Hey Mark, I never stopped making demos! I'm on Reverb and AndyDemos channels. Thanks!
@@AndyDemos I know, but I really liked the Pro Guitar Shop videos 👍🙂
Actually, I wasn't aware of your AndyDremos channel 👍
best !!!!!!!!!
This pedal and some of the stuff you played reminded me of the Smashing Pumpkins with Billy and James in 90s, which is a high compliment for me. Then you went all Floyd with it and I'm like, "shit, buying one of those then".
Andy why you go to reverb??????????? I need to see you play more
wilco!
does anyone know which guitar is that Andy is using?
I WANNA KNOW TOO, THE GREEN ONE WITH CREAM PICKUPS
neo andres Perez it's a Reverend guitar, that's as far as I know
gabrielredu Reverend Club King 290, I think
It’s an electric guitar.
SPIDERS!
I played with one of these and couldn't work out if I loved it or really fuckin' hated it. When clean it has a habit of suddenly producing blasts of noise way louder than the rest of the signal, which is pretty annoying. Really, really needs a limiter or dirt after it.
Charles Carr even with the mix knob backed off?
I wouldn't spend 200 on it, but it's a great sound
Wish this had a tap tempo
Is Rebecca ever coming back?
?
WILCO!
It's no good, I'm going to have to have it...
Wilco!!!!
Intro is like the middle of a Television ( the band) concert .
Thanks, it's a Wilco song - Spiders(Kidsmoke) which definitely takes influence from some 70s bands, mainly Krautrock!
spiders kidsmoke
sold
I thought the idea was kind of stupid, and I would never even consider this pedal... then Andy starts playing.... arrgghhh ;)
Wilco!!!
That’s just Andy ... the pedal is noise
Is that? Spiders(Kidsmoke) I hear?
Latch control need expression control option!
Only DJ Screw could chop and screw
CURSE YOU, ANDY!!!! I mean that in the best possible way. My wallet just has some negative bias towards you.
7:11 Yum
so chui wan
damn! another pedal i gotta have. yes, i'm addicted. check out my channel.
Noel Gallagher brought me here
How so?
@@jackppursel Forget I made this comment lol, read somewhere he has one, he uses it a lot live these days
Mix this thing up with a Mobius and a BigSky ... Hmmmmm
damm this with a bigsky would be otherworldly.
I don't like it!
José Pérez ok? Then fuck off..
I wish you would put the jam or whatever at the end. its annoying having to skip a min into the video every time
Wilco!
