thanks very much for the video, great stuff, just a small comment, rabbi nachmen wasent a Zionist, he loved the holy land, but there were no Zionists back then. but again graet job on the clip. we need more
@@AccidentalTalmudist I had the same question. Towards the end you address "my brothers and sisters" yet clearly this is event meant only for men. Should women not receive the teachings and experiences shown in this video? Separate but equal? I think we have learned the folly of such a concept. (I was assigned this video for a class by the way which is why I am here.)
@@Kimbaface You ask a great and important question. I'm curious about the class that assigned the video. Tell me more. Re the question itself, men and women have different roles in Judaism. Not separate to be separate, but simply different. I can't speak for Orthodox Jewish women - you should ask them how they approach the tradition, starting with Nina - my wife and partner in running Accidental Talmudist. In fact, she's the lead partner now, creating all our content while I'm directing the new movie she and I wrote.
What a wonderful video. Truly one of the best that I've ever seen on RUclips. Thank you so much for sharing this.
This is beautiful
Are you making a 2018 uman video?
With God's help, yes!

Where are the women? (Not meant as a rhetorical question.)
They have their own event later in the year.
