Nice! I'm presently trialing a full production of Ashitaba at an organic farm here on the coast of N. California. The focus on my biodiversity research has been on this amazing medicinal plant and I hope to be offering both fresh cut leaves, stems and roots to the public along with the phenomenal powdered whole plant. If you haven't discovered already, Ashitaba is an incredible healer of the skin. The rich chalcone antioxidants speed healing of cuts and scrapes like nothing I've ever experienced. I hope to visit Hachijojima Island this winter to document the cultural use of this plant from the place it originated in Japan. Thanks for the video. You can bet I will try this recipe as the growing season progresses.
I've just binge watched your PLANT BASED EATS videos. I am also a new sub to both your channels. I have two questions if you don't mind me asking. Did you grow the ashitaba from seed and where can I purchase the seeds. I had never heard of that type of greens before I found your channel. Also, I posed this question on one of your older videos, can the homemade dressings you featured be made in quantity and refrigerated? I guess that makes a total of three questions. Lol! Blessings!
See the above reply. You can order seeds or live plants from Horizon Herbs in Oregon. I also will hopefully be offering seedlings and dried teas and powers very soon from our California organic farm.
