I got accepted to the Air Force and attempting to join PJ, after watching this video, my drive and motivation just skyrocketed to the point that I want to be a modern day spartan. The things we do, so that others may live 🇺🇸
Me as well, I'm planning on being a PJ as well(all though I've still got a year and a half to choose). The last three years I've always loved pushing myself and kicking my ass with every workout to the point of accidentally overtraining a few times, and no one around me has that drive at all and it makes me so sad. But to be around men like this and help out other servicemen and women, it'd be a dream come true
Noble Wolf I finished my Basic military training two weeks ago. I’m already an airman, my afsc right now is security forces but I’m going to my commander at my first duty station and have them cross train me to PJ
Huge props to a 50 year old man going through even two days of the Pipeline. Something else I liked about this video was that it didn't just focus on the SpecOps guys. Lately PJs, CCT, and to a much lesser extent the new SR warriors get all the attention. But there is also a second level who are above the common airman. Special Operations Command also has some of the best pilots around. Also the SpecOps crewman, who can go up to a year of training before graduation. They have to know every bolt of the aircraft they are assigned to, they have to keep a shot up bird in the air enough to get to base. The crewman is the person you see blasting the advancing enemy with the minigun as they chase down the SpecOps guys. He has to know everything from airframe mechanics to combat medicine to giving tired SpecOps guys some food. There was a brief shot of some DAGRE troops. These are the SpecOps Security forces. They do everything from guard the aircraft in very hostile territory, to securing landing zones, escorting the SpecOps guys on missions to do their jobs, Hostage Rescue, and whatever else they are called on to do. I heard a DAGRE guy describe a typical day and that included 2 1/2 hours of working out. (If a real DAGRE reads this and anything I say is incorrect, please correct me.) I believe only 28 slots for DAGRE are opened in an entire year. Even the mechanics are some of the best in the Air Force. Everyone in the SOC feels that "elite" vibe. The Pararescue, Combat Controllers, and Special Recon guys are the cutting edge of the sword but even the sharpest edge is only as good as the steel behind it.
Your statement couldn't be more right about Aircrews, We know every bolt, every procedure and just every little thing about our aircraft. I'm 2 years into training as a Special Missions Aviator on the AC-130J's that are stationed at Hurlburt field and I'm still a year out from graduating.

I was in the USAF in the 90s. The USAF is different. My experience is that it a force of technicians. In the USAF you will do what you are trained for. You will be trained and equipped well. It has a different mentality and atmosphere. There is no question that they are best at what they do; just like all the branches are.

Along with the boomer submarines the Strategic Air Command was ready to launch into world war 3 with our special weapons. This took intense discipline to be ready and if that order ever came to do as ordered knowing it would end the world! SOWT doesn't exist anymore. They're Special Reconnaissance (SR) now. Not only do they do the weather and terrain stuff but they also serve as recon snipers now too
It was not encouraged and looked down upon. Xenophon, who knew Sparta better than anyone, says that the Spartan lawgiver had laid down that it was shameful even "to be seen to reach out to touch the body of a boy".
Comparing Spartan Racers to any MOS is ridiculous. Everyone thinks they “could’ve” been SF. News flash: these guys are essentially professional athletes.
It’s_Tommy the mindset & ability to compete selection also cannot be compared to a recreational race v. Selection. I’m not SF, but I have been in the Army since 1995. Been around plenty of SF guys, they are essentially professional athletes who can shoot way better than the average Soldier and possess an iron will. It would be more accurate to see if this Spartan CEO could make thru PI or Fort Benning for basic training.

The quick answer is yes. However, you wouldn’t be able to be active duty. I believe the age restriction is still 27 for active duty. Air National Guard is different. They don’t have to accept you, but if you posses what they’re looking for they’ll pick you up and you would have to go through the same process as every other ST (special tactics) operator. Understand, however, the process is LONG to get to operational status and there are a few different jobs within each team; namely TACP, PJ, CCT and Special Reconnaissance.

I joined the Army back in 1998. Had i known about this I would have joined the Air Force instead just to enter this training. I the rangers, deltas and special forces were cool but clichè this is extraordinary. The crazy thing is I was a part of USASOC special forces unit at Bragg.
Key word being "ACTIVE".
Just an European guy asking.
the PJ's came from this program right?
This is a portion of their training
All of the USAF special warfare guys basically start in the same training. Once they reach a certain point, they are split up to receive the training specific to their AFSC.
Air force special warfare Combat Control Tactics, Pararescue PJ, Af special reconnaissance the best of the best the once overlooked. The 24th Special Tactics Squadron is a tier 1 unit that attaches to and works in unison with other special forces including DEVGRU or DELTA FORCE.
SOST are trained like PJs??
Do they have combat training or just medical skills??
Thanks.
The early 80's MRE weren't that great but when you are hungry enough you'll eat just about anything...
Amen
maple nut cake was awesome
Tickles me to recall what a ''Ridge Runner'' from West Virginia, told one of his squad members; who was complaining about his cold can of Ham and Eggs...
''Damn clear to me: that you'd never been so hungry that you had to eat possum or armadillo!'' -11b4p 82nd '74
Hunger is the best seasoning
Yes, he reported to BRIGADIER GENERAL TUDOR/ CCT/ COMMANDER AFSOC!!!!!!

Take care of em out there, BROTHER!!!!! ❤️🙏🇺🇸❤️🙏🇺🇸❤️🙏🇺🇸❤️🙏🇺🇸
Love The AFSO.
Nothing sweeter then hearing the whine of Wort hogs engines comeing in hot and the sound of Burrrrrrrap!! Covering our ass Airborne.
if you already went to dive/freefall (soocom) would you have to go through again with multiple jumps/dives underneath your belt? taling about a lat move
You would begin at the beginning.
They are looking for guys who don't think it's a problem to do it all over again.
If you were prior SOF and went and passed combat dive but switched to a different sof.. no.. yes to everything else.
lol his Peltors at 10:30
2000 to 2004 Beale AFB 9th CE squadron. We pretty built the runways and housing for everybody hard job constantly thinking we would hit a I.E.D with a tractor or shot if someone was slacking off on watch. The only other unit at Beale that qualified for rifle every 6 months other then Security forces.
Was on an exercise in the early 80s with PJs. My old wrinkled ass ever gets in a real jam, I hope those studs come get me out. Truly awesome dedicated, determined men.
Hurlburt... the original ROMAD school? (still recall the fight to be authorized for berets)
I hate being old.

So what's the difference between navy seals and spartan
Almost everything lol totally different missions
Euan Kurdziel navy seals do cocaine
Spartans have gay post battle orgies
Hi, is it possible to join the US Air Force for a foreigner ?
Isham Le Tenoux I believe you have to become a citizen but I do believe that you can be born in another country and still join the military, as long as you are a citizen. You may even be able to join as a RESIDENT, which is different from being a citizen, however that I’m not as sure about
Go fucking get it Spartan.
Keep at it, BROTHER!!!! When you swim, run, ruck, lift, exercise bike EVERYDAY--and you start getting 4/6 hours of sleep every day and you are feeling good--You have crossed over--THE HUMAN BODY IS A MACHINE!!!!!! GOOD LUCK--ALWAYS GRATEFUL!!!!! ❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
17 jealous Green Berets and Seals dislike it.
Mister Sorge 3 more viewed the video and disliked it
Jealous ? Jealous of what ?
Seals and Berets are the best
@@unfortunateson5016 Don't you forget... Deltas.
@@unfortunateson5016 So why are CCTs embedded with SEALs? They do something that a SEAL doesn't. I'd take a PJ over a SEAL anyday.
Do Navy SARCS !
I miss those day more than ever, call me and bring me home.
Were these PJs, CCT, TACP, SOWT, SERE? Or all?
Probably a mix of PJ, CCT, and SOWT (regular TACP’s don’t do this and SERE definitely don’t do this)because if they’re going to dive school after this that means they already did all their primary schools and now going into their more advanced skill schools like dive, sky diving and the like.
No more SOWT. SOWT just transitioned to Special Reconnaissance title for the Air Force Special Operations. Pretty interesting job description.
SOWT doesn't exist anymore. They're Special Reconnaissance (SR) now. Not only do they do the weather and terrain stuff but they also serve as recon snipers now too
@@HurricaneHugues Holy shit that is bad no one can make fun of them anymore. They use to be the weirdest SpecOP occupation lol.
On the TACP side of things, only the 17th STS is Special Operations... All other ASOS are conventional units...
I wish this unit would have been available 40 yrs ago when I got out of the A.F.. I would have cross trained into it an done 20 plus yrs in the A.F.
It was. PJs and CCTs have been around since the late 40s - early 50s.
@@Freeman_AF Oh I knew about the PJ'S an CCT'S but these guys are a different unit, unless I'm mistaken
@@williammccaslin8527 you are mistaken these guys are PJs and CCTs
@@zach105 I thought they were a new form of unit, thx for the clarification.
SR (special reconnaissance) they replaced sowt recently.
Everyone seems to conveniently forget that Spartans engaged in man boy love.
*Hehe yeaaah boi*
Lol yea
Along with just about everyone in Greece *shrugs* past was fucked up lol
Literally the whole damn world around that time
It was not encouraged and looked down upon. Xenophon, who knew Sparta better than anyone, says that the Spartan lawgiver had laid down that it was shameful even "to be seen to reach out to touch the body of a boy".
1:35 lol i would start crying right there
Comparing Spartan Racers to any MOS is ridiculous. Everyone thinks they “could’ve” been SF. News flash: these guys are essentially professional athletes.
Grant2591 I understand what you mean, but I think it’s more mindset vs physical ability that’s being compared also a PR Scheme to recruit for AFSOF.
Grant2591 I got ya Champion. Thank you so much for your service!
Everybody gangsta until the AFSOC guy walks in
All respect.
Cheek to stock
I wonder if the RAF will add this capability
RAF kinda already has this capability. ii Squadron RAF Regiment provides a contingent to the SFSG which is a Tier 2 SOF unit made up of personnel from the 1st battalion Parachute Regiment, RAF Regiment and Royal Marines. Within the SFSG they act as Medical Emergency Response Teams (MERTS) and JTACs they also provide a CBRN capability for the SFSG, in a way there equal to USAF PJ's and TACP. 7 Squadron, 33/230 Squadron and 47 Squadron are Special Operations pilots that provide UKSF with insert/extract and close air support they regularly train with USAF Special Operations Squadrons during Exercises like Exercise Emerald Warrior
I wonder if the RAF will add this capability

@@stonedagain5191 ?
@@sixowe3592 What? Oh, you don't understand what I mean?
Well maybe you can answer this for me?
In 2015 Russia exposed the USA for supporting terrorists in Syria and that forced the USA to admit to the whole WORLD they had recruited - Trained - Armed - Supplied - Protected - Paid - Used brutal terrorists (sorry I forgot, Americans like the term moderate head chopping fake rebels my mistake).
And not one American has even condemned it, let alone protested against this clear and obvious attempt at American tyranny.
The only society we've ever seen do this before (not even protest against their own country's ADMITTED killing) was Nazi Germany 33-45 and that's the only time in history the people have done what the American people are today, or rather what they're not doing.
325 million people, and not one, not a single one has even condemned it, let alone protested against it as we all would be if our governments had admitted what the US government has.
Nice video mate, I subscribed. What’s the name of the boot st 1:51 u r wearing ?
I know it's been a minute but they look like Rocky SV2's. Some of the best boots you can get.

Still got my Lowas... Airpower!
true quiet professionals and on the other side you have Navy Seals.
ahem
Seals still need these guys to rescue them and call in air support. IE bombing the enemy to hell.
Can you still do this, and still be national guard?
Yes

Barak Abdallah305 you probaly have to be a u.s citizen

Yeah but they are barely ever used and mostly just train and stay up to date but are not used
yeah im in the air force and i know a few of these guys. you have no idea what you are talking about.
Can I join in my 30s?
The quick answer is yes. However, you wouldn’t be able to be active duty. I believe the age restriction is still 27 for active duty. Air National Guard is different. They don’t have to accept you, but if you posses what they’re looking for they’ll pick you up and you would have to go through the same process as every other ST (special tactics) operator. Understand, however, the process is LONG to get to operational status and there are a few different jobs within each team; namely TACP, PJ, CCT and Special Reconnaissance.
@@Viennamango I thought you could be active up until 39. However, most rated jobs will be closed off unless you are rare then you'll get a waiver. I know pilot cut off is 28.5 yrs old. If you're going after non rated positions then your window opens a bit.
Talk to a recruiter if you’re serious, I have met 30+ year old PJ and CCT candidates.
@@Viennamango I thought its up to 39 in Air Force. I have to speack with recruiter.
