[SPOILERS] Sadly, this isn't canon to the game (sort of idk if it is. Unless someone replicates it in the game or if Yang hired Sean to kill his father which sort of my head canon) His name is Ying (or Yin) and his brother, (Yang,) killed his father. Yin was supposed to protect the talisman or artifact that had magical powers to which everytime he (or someone) dies, he comes back older. Instead, he stole it at some point. And uses it to get his revenge. He got taught into Martial Arts by "Sifu" according to the Yang's taunts. In the game you have choices to kill or spare the bosses which gives you two endings. There's an additional secret ending as well. One of the bosses in the game is Sean (the "boss" from Secret Level's Sifu.)
When she redirected the question with "you tell me", she is pretty much making him reflect if using the Coin Talisman and aging was worth it. She knew who the old man was from his chopstick pattern. (She might not know about the Coin Talisman and it's power, she just understood that he must've done something to cause him to age rapidly).

I love this episode so much because it teaches us that holding a grudge doesn't make you strong. Instead, it makes you bitter. Forgiving doesn't make you weak all it does is setting you free.
So many people think they need lofty ambitions to be happy or make their lives matter. I've found I can't think of anything so ambitious, I just want a simple life with a family and career I love and enjoy. I don't need to be some CEO or big politician or anything, no frontiersman at the bleeding edge of progress; just a simple man making video games for children to enjoy, like the games I enjoyed as a child. Simplicity is oftentimes seen as "shallow" or "bad," but in many cases I believe simplicity contains more complexity than complexity itself has, if that makes sense. You don't need to make a grand discovery to leave your mark on history. Your memory will live on in the people whose lives you've touched, and benefitted. A simple life interacting with people in their mundane environments will carry your memory farther than being another big name.
Such a beautiful purpose. So many people have no idea what they want out of life. Don’t let anything stop you. There is a wonderful interview with a Japanese woman who is 97 and who is still serving food at her simple cafe/restaurant for most of her life. She still makes fresh soba noodles everyday and is open 365 days of every year.

So every time he failed or died, he would lose a year, becoming older and older, until by the time he does what he had set out to do, he is an old man, being asked by the old woman if it was worth taking such a deal and losing so much. I’m so happy they didn’t make Sifu stay mad and vengeful as he gets older, the more he loses and gets older, I like to imagine the more time he spends wondering if old man Sifu would actually want him to waste so much valuable time on petty vengeance.
SPOILERS FOR THE GAME SIFU TLDR :the young man has a talisman that revives him on death but he ages one year per death and each death stacks until he kills/knockout the one who killed him he went from mid 20s to late 80s in probably a week or two maybe even a few days (SIFU)
I love this short and the style of the song that they decided to go with.It just makes it more better. To date point like this honestly.I love everything about this and it almost made me cry.
Prime video. Series is Secret Level- each episode follows a different game franchise. This is episode 2 following the game Sifu. Other episodes follow dungeons and dragons, warhammer, armored core, pac man, few other games that are more obscure.
This is what I wanted the Assassin’s Creed movie to be like. There was so much potential with that story, and this just proves to me that it was possible all along.
Such a masterpiece . That old lady notice the way he pick the chop stick. In real life people die from heart and reborn again and again until he is perfect from experience. Although the apperance may not change but the heart will mature and ripe. Some scar may not see from outside but they are the one who made you mature and perfected. SIFU is a great game to make a mistake and relared it resued agained to the perfection.❤❤❤
I think it's cool that this is the same day , in game you complete each level connonically on THE SAME DAY. Every level shows you the time of day from morning through the night to sunrise .
As a man who spent 5 months and is still trying to platinum sifu I instantly recognized it was a sifu reference when his old form showed up. I think the coolest part is 80 years is the maximum age and 20 is the youngest age in the game. That's 60 years of his damn life. She spent 60 years perfecting potstockers and he spent 60 years on revenge. That's attention to detail
I swear a bunch of video games could be huge successes if they were made into series’s or movies, doom, dead space, sifu, god of war, evil within, titan fall, just to name a few
It was wild how they captured the difficulty of this game in just a short few minutes. Playing it for the first time you’ll realize just how easily you’ll die over and over in the game till you figure it out
I knew she would say "you tell me". Anyone who spends that long mastering a craft does so because they love doing it, but also because they want to be recognized by others.
Wude and kung fu man, the rhetorics around them are so, solidifying. I don't know how to describe it... It, adds glue to the character. They're supporting columns. Sure, you train your body, but you can still get beat up. Sure, you train your mind, but you can still crack like anyone else. But, something about the glue being there just, helps things stick together just a LITTLE bit better. I almost love the cultures around these styles more than the styles themselves. In fact, I do. Maybe I glamorize the peace they achieve more than the actual prowess. Good 'food' for thought, with these dumplings heh.

I’m so happy they didn’t make Sifu stay mad and vengeful as he gets older, the more he loses and gets older, I like to imagine the more time he spends wondering if old man Sifu would actually want him to waste so much valuable time on petty vengeance.
the story is better than disney nowadays
SPOILERS FOR THE GAME SIFU
TLDR :the young man has a talisman that revives him on death but he ages one year per death and each death stacks until he kills/knockout the one who killed him he went from mid 20s to late 80s in probably a week or two maybe even a few days (SIFU)
I love this short and the style of the song that they decided to go with.It just makes it more better. To date point like this honestly.I love everything about this and it almost made me cry.
Where can I watch this
Prime video. Series is Secret Level- each episode follows a different game franchise. This is episode 2 following the game Sifu. Other episodes follow dungeons and dragons, warhammer, armored core, pac man, few other games that are more obscure.
If you pay attention to the puddle you can see him when he was 12. Gave me chills.
Game name :shifu (i think)
What kind of animation is this??? i luv it, never seen it b4
Ain’t no way one of the episodes of this series has Concord 😂
I want to say those are dumplings and they look damn good.
I would like to continue your streak of observations.
That is an old woman cooking and selling food in her street restaurant.
I really really really want to try some dumplings now it’s getting me so hungry for some damn fucking reason
@@stacytacycy bite my shiny metal ass.
I'd love a series about sifu. Such a phenomenal game with a great yet quite simple story
This is what I wanted the Assassin’s Creed movie to be like. There was so much potential with that story, and this just proves to me that it was possible all along.
Yea it’s possible just requires passionate people to be writing and directing it with no outside hands muddling it up
Movie name?
It’s a show on prime video called secret level, specifically the 2nd episode
Ok thx way you way this 7 day ?
@1kill-i8w well I only just saw that comment
What's the name of this ?
episode 3 of secret level
This was definitely made by the same artists as Arcane.
When she said " you tell me " my heart ❤️ felt a moment of silence
For those who’s wondering about the title of it, it’s called secret level
Name??
Secret Level Ep2 Sifu
I can tell from the start that it was Sifu, but ive never seen this scene
It's from a new show called Secret Level.
SIFU EPISODE!!!!!
Oh
Name of the show?
@@cheesecakepaws Secret Level. It's an anthology series on Amazon Prime about different video games. This episode was about Sifu.
This is work of art.
.....KISS ALREADY!
Ew
Cringe
Ah, that women is practically the age of his granny. The boy ages everytime he dies in this story..
I thaught that was Garaou from OPM 😅😂
I think it's cool that this is the same day , in game you complete each level connonically on THE SAME DAY. Every level shows you the time of day from morning through the night to sunrise .
what a beautiful comic... can i see an entire movie of it?
As a man who spent 5 months and is still trying to platinum sifu I instantly recognized it was a sifu reference when his old form showed up. I think the coolest part is 80 years is the maximum age and 20 is the youngest age in the game. That's 60 years of his damn life. She spent 60 years perfecting potstockers and he spent 60 years on revenge. That's attention to detail
I swear a bunch of video games could be huge successes if they were made into series’s or movies, doom, dead space, sifu, god of war, evil within, titan fall, just to name a few
That’s the most beautiful thing I ever seen 😢
bro is cooked having a 70year at lv2
I feel sad that people get old and doesn't stay younger forever......
This episode made me cry at the end
It was wild how they captured the difficulty of this game in just a short few minutes. Playing it for the first time you’ll realize just how easily you’ll die over and over in the game till you figure it out
Sifu is one of the more poetic games i had ever played such a master piece
Okay yasuo. Now riot let’s get this man a movie.
I love it I just wish it was longer😢
I knew she would say "you tell me".
Anyone who spends that long mastering a craft does so because they love doing it, but also because they want to be recognized by others.
That "You tell me" just hit different.
This is a great animation. I love the detail.
It hits harder when you yourself having a hard time answering your own question.....
As soon as i saw his face I knew what this was. I gotta watch this. I absolutely adore Sifu.
