Minato is honestly one of the most badass ninjas in the show. He is also one of my top five favorites characters, really wish he at least stayed alive to take care of Naruto 😔.

Nope, the databook confirmed that the youngest member of team Tobirama is Uchiha Kagami which wws 24 at that time, Danzo, Koharu, Homura, Torifu and Hiruzen shares the same age. People assume that "Hiruzen was a teenager" by the fact his appearance, but people forget that Hiruzen is always been a dwarf/short then his teammates. Look I love Minato too, but we cannot say he is the 2nd strongest hokage. That's a flat out lie. Consider the following:
1) Once obito broke Kurama out of his wife, Minato fought it. Since he felt the village would need it's power, he using a kamikaze style sealing jutsu stopped Kurama
2) once summoned as a reincarnate by orochimaru, he was never shown to be able to break out of the chakra hold/mind control he was under......tho admittedly the "controller" wasn't actually trying to hold him back
On the other hand...
A) Hashirama was able to control 6 tailed beasts at his height (may have included Kurama, but that really doesn't matter since....)
B) Hashirama fought Madara, who had Kurama under his control. Whilst it could be argued if he truly "won" (since Madara also survived and ended up getting what he wanted, Hashirama cells). What definitely did happen was that after beating the hell out of both opponents, he left the battlefield with Kurama under his control, that's how come Kurama ended up being sealed in his wife.
C) now as mentioned before when orochimaru used the reincarnate jutsu to control the kages, the 3rd and 4th showed no signs of being able to resist control. The 2nd hokage with minimal effort was able to fight back/counter the control. As orochimaru himself stated, he was unable to contorl the 1st hokage at all. That Hashirama alone didn't even need effort to break free. If his weaker younger brother could make Sasuke and co. sweat with just his effort. You know Hashirama was about to scare the crap out of them if he went hostile.
Yeah and if we are talking about sage mode, both ppl had access to it but Minato didn't feel comfortable with it stating it wasn't on a combat level yet (even tho that's untrue)
At the end it's obvious Hashirama> Minato
