Big issue with that is that newspaper often contains toxic inks which I am not sure of it the plants then take that in with the water. I would try to get an unprinted source
Hello! Thank you for bringing up this point. My understanding is that newspapers are no longer printed with ink containing heavy metals. A soy based ink is now used for both black and coloured inks in newspapers. Certainly in Australia anyway.
