I’ve also been using motor oil. I think I got the idea from some footage of Von Dutch talking about it. He also mentioned thinning with gasoline, but I haven’t tried that one yet. I live up in chilly New England, so I’ll definitely give the transmission fluid trick a go! Digging your videos and style! Thanks! 👍

We used to thin paint out with gasoline 30 year’s ago when we were painting a walls. It was cheaper than paint thinner .🤣 I would stick to paint thinners, especially now with all the additives in gasoline . Thanks for watching 😎

I Like your Stile! My Dad was a Transmission specialist, and we learned trans fluid has detergent in it- So there we go! Thanks Dad! Ps...... You can also pour a little down a Carb and it will clean your valves! Thanks, Rick for the Video! ---- : )

I'm not in a cool area by any means. Our "winter" is about 3 days long at 50°.
Is this still ok to do for my area?

Yes. I’ve painted outside in 25 degrees and as hot as 95. If you can take the paint will take it. Dry time of the paint will very. Thank you for watching

Been using motor oil. Will try trans fluid. Being a Ford guy I will not put my brushs in that brand. Will old school F type be ok? Thanks for the tip. Good day.

Lol. Yes. I’m sure it would. I’m a creature of habit , it’s just what I always used. I’ve used motor oil in a pinch. Just clean them well in thinner before you paint. Thanks 😊

@@davewoods3543 I use Ronan lettering enamel. It’s a better product , and more reasonable in price. I don’t use urethane. But if I did I would use lacquer thinner. Thanks for watching
