I'm a diehard Jacob Collier fan, and I love hearing such positive reviews from people who know nothing about him. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Also, in regards to the Jon Batiste similarities, they have performed in concert on a few occasions. So although they don't officially have a song out together, they very much have acknowledged each other's brilliance. It's cool seeing that you guys notice similar energy and vision in both of them too.
I would say almost everyone in that crowd (80%+) either is a musician or grew up doing choir/band/orchestra/theater. I am not saying that people with no musical experience can't enjoy his music, just that I think he mainly appeals to music nerds lol

What an amazing way to discover Jacob.
You mentioned the diversity of the audience. Jacob is such a musician’s musician that I wonder how many in the audience sing or play an instrument.

The wild diversity of Jacob's audience has one thing in common.....most of them are musicians.
I’m a fan and definitely not a musician.
@@catherineono3387 Kudos to you! What percentage of Jacob's audience are musicians? 60%?
He played the fairy theme in Toronto as well. I've been trying to find someone who caught it on camera. Thanks!
