Went through this the other day with a flat battery . After entering said car with key you need to pop the bonnet and hook up jumper leads to the positive and negative terminals near the under bonnet fuse box . This will allow you to get the hatch open (No manual release) to access the battery . It will also allow you to disengage the electric park brake if you need to push it anywhere . On the plus side after puling my dead flat battery out and charging it , I did not need to enter a code into the head unit . It did take about 4 attempts at starting after replacing the battery . All the gauges went up and down but never attempted to start . 4th or 5th time it started no problems and was back to normal .
My passenger door won’t unlock. I tried to remove the cover but there’s no hole to put the key into to access the lock like there is on the drivers door. Helppppp
Super!!!! Enfin une vidéo claire et précise qui vaut tous les manuels du monde. Merci beaucoup, ma centralisation fait des caprices parfois et je ne peux plus rentrer dans ma voiture 😊....👍
Hi, well you're not alone. Every week I get calls about this, it's a shame it's not obvious. Thanks for the feedback and really pleased it helped you :)
Thanks for the tip buddy. I went from keyless start as was having issues but now feel prepared should the time arrive to get in my car. It’s just Sod’s law it will be in the middle of a thunder storm with the Mrs 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@omark2241 To quote from another website "As long as you can still get in the car, let down the rear seats and on the inner tailgate trim you should see a circular blank plug. Take this off and it gives you access to the mechanicals of the lock and you can move the lever manually." It should also be in the manual. and if you feel really fancy, pop the bonnet and get some external power source :)
What a click bait! Now I have removed and placed the cover back onb the handle, but still do not know how to get inside my car ... Just kidding, but I indeed found it amusing, that you never actually opened the door in the process :). But a great video, now I wil know how to get into the car with a flat battery.
We have the child lock on and our rear door won’t open/unlock. The rest of the doors are fine except one. Is there any way of getting this open to see what the issue is?

You're very welcome Anthony, glad it helped :)
More importantly, how do you manually open doors and windows on Astra car when locked inside?
Hi, well we’d pick the lock and open it. Not sure if these can be wedged and pull the door handle as they may deadlock
@@TheCarKeyMan
The answer is that there is no way to get out of an Astra car manually because there is no manual lock!
Legend! Car magically died with my newborns car seat inside! ( the baby wasn’t in it)
Good to hear Edward, babies locked in cars = stress
