This is quite honestly the best part of the movie. When I went to see this in theaters (both times) the theater erupted into applause after this scene was over.

Sure, but I honestly find the whole movie wonderful! But yes, if we talk about the most impressive scene visually, it's certainly this (followed by the one in which Kenai tells everything to Koda and the one in which Kenai decides to take the form of a bear to be with Koda)

I can only imagine! This scene is really one of my favorites in Brother Bear! I remember seeing this in theaters almost 20 years ago when I was only 8 with my grandparents. But I don’t remember any cheering in the theater.
When I was smaller I always cry watching this scene. But then later after I understand the lyrics and re-watch the movie as I grow up,
it hits me stronger.. Imagine this song when we do something wrong or sinful and God is trying to teach us a lesson in the most gentlest way nobody will ever do. And when we've learned the lesson and making us see things clearer, we become more thankful that God gave us those trials, because He wants to become better, because of His infinite love for us. 🥺💗

This movie is so underrated. I can't begin to tell you how annoying it is hearing people drool over frickin Frozen and completely ignore gems like this. Smh

Brother Bear is such an underrated Disney Movie. It probably has the best message of all Disney Movies, great animation and all the songs are timeless.
Yeah, but I'm bitly dissapointed, because this movie is set in prehistory, but woolly mammoths are probably only Extinct animals in this movie.

Separately they were great enough as they are, but combining them was just heavenly to the ears. It sounds as if Phil Collins was god himself incarnated to give us this message of understanding. Thank you Phil, we will remember you forever.

I love this part of the movie, it's beautiful and colorful and love the women's choir.
From my memory I think they used this footage in the trailers, as in parts of it and I think they knew that it was the strongest part of the movie, heck the first part all the up to when Kenai gets knocked out is perfect, sure the rest of film is not as good, it just loses only loses small percentage its still great but the whole first chunk with the three brothers is awesome setup for all three of the brothers, and the feeling this seen had was completely oozing with warmth and mystery, I can't describe it any better further in words than just magical.
The way this scene impacted me as a kid! I love this movie so much. ❤️

The temperature is not the same now with the global warming, besides the hunters and maybe poachers (idk if i typed it right, this isnt my first language) maybe you could say "They are huge and strong animals" but humans have managed to kill elephants, okay they arent as big as a mammoth but humans wouls still find a way to kill them

I have loved this scene ever since I was five years old.
At the time, I didn't understand the whole spirits in the sky and what it was all about; all I knew was how pretty the entire scene was and how COOL it was to be transformed into a bear. And it still is.
But now, when I watch this scene with the music: I weep, both with happiness and sorrow. Because after watching it more, I understood what this was: spirits of long-dead animals dancing in the expanse of the aether, watching the world as it grows and develops, just like the American depictions of the Aurora Borealis.
Indeed, a beautiful representation of the afterlife...
Even if we know that's just the shed rays of the Sun upon the northern hemisphere: it's still something to admire.
Honestly, it's hard to hold them back, both in the first and second scenes with them: when Koda sees his mother one last time before she returns to the masquerade of souls, even in the sequel when they re-write the paintings on the cave under the waterfall. Splendid, absolutely beautiful...

I didn't I thought it was beautiful the way how keeni was transformed into a bear I thought it was insane I didn't understand the great spirits stuff...but I did as I saw the movie...they were basically talking about if your chosen for a purpose to be something different then it meant that life or situations will change you for a reason if your worthy of something.
