They incorporated "Human Again" into it. I really do wish, even if it is as part of a credit roll, they re-release "Brother Bear" for its 20 year anniversary next year, with this version of the song included. It took me way too long to find out that this version of the song exists. I think I like it just a little bit more than the one in the movie, though I still keep wanting it to lead into "Brothers all the same" instead of "See from all sides"; though I love both sets of lyrics in general now.
I know, there was the other version of the song in the trailer when Phil Collins said “Brothers are the same, brothers are the same”. It went with the movie better and it sounded awesome but the other version is good too 🙌🎶🙏
@@Bryan.BranlyAny chance a demo of Phil singing those lines exists? I believe he did in a live version, from my memory it was more of an acoustic arrangement.
Yes and no. The Phil Collins version was used in the trailers, but it used the lyrics from the Tina Turner version. Which implies Collins wrote the song.
Lol most of the comments are people arguing over how wrong the other is. Just take a hint from the song and, "See from all sides!" I know that no ones going to ever really get along and that life isn't fair, but that doesn't mean you should be assholes to each other and that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try to make life as fair as possible for all people; not just yourself. Strive towards a better understanding of yourself, and you'll in turn help others.
This song really rings true, we need to look deeper and not judge, we have to be open minded and see that we are all one, we need to treasure this planet given to us. This is an amazing song that we should all try to follow by, i always try to understand and not judge by appearance, sexuality, or religion. We are one, we are all human, this movie teaches a powerful lesson about love, about brotherhood
The only disney film that made me burst into tears The story of peace death redemption and friendship The only film where the good guy is the bad as well...but not his actual fault THIS MOVIE DESERVES MORE CREDIT!!!!!!! AND MAY THE GREAT SPIRITS SEE THIS MESSAGE 🐻
A theme of learning how empathy and love are powerful forces, but also the wisdom in understanding that our actions impact and affect others. As this version of the song states: "Teach our children to look deeper than the surface; to see the world through another's eyes. To be blind beyond yourself is to look but not see, and knowing much is not enough to be wise."
This version was most likely completely omitted from the movie and most versions of the soundtrack because it's "too liberal". People disgust me …but this song gives me hope.
Actually, I think this version of the song was possibly considered too spoiler-ish. After all, the Tina Turner version is featured at the beginning of the movie.

+The Symbiotic Dinosaur what are you saying about spirituality? what did Christianity ever caused? and what do you blame Religion for doing what exactly? your message peaked my interest bro?
Phil collins, elton john and paebo bryson are the trinity of disney vocalists
This would of worked if it matched the final version.
Who else remembers hearing this version of the song in the trailer for it when you watched other Disney movies on DVD?
TheGrimmGamer Me, although this version is quite a bit different.
I think this was the version that they've played in the trailers.
Yes and no. The Phil Collins version was used in the trailers, but it used the lyrics from the Tina Turner version. Which implies Collins wrote the song.
@@koopaeliminator4148 Obviously.
@@koopaeliminator4148 I didn’t know until now
@@koopaeliminator4148 Yes. The trailer on The Lion King Platinum Edition has him doing the Tina lyrics.
@@martingardner9124 My thoughts exactly!
They should've included this on the official soundtrack, because this is honestly my favorite version of Great Spirits
That Phil Version of Great Spirits is totally worth it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The lyrics of this version are more meaningful than the Turner version. It reflects the overall theme of the movie better.
This song was performed by phil Collins and nsync
I really like it so much
Because I really think that it is so cool and so awesome animation music video in the whole world!
great Phil Collins song
I just wish they kept the version from the trailer
Lol most of the comments are people arguing over how wrong the other is. Just take a hint from the song and, "See from all sides!" I know that no ones going to ever really get along and that life isn't fair, but that doesn't mean you should be assholes to each other and that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try to make life as fair as possible for all people; not just yourself. Strive towards a better understanding of yourself, and you'll in turn help others.
I love this song
love the movie the songs :)
Yes.This song is a very magic and nice. She has in self a great message.
I know the movie is about Bears but I think about wolves when I hear this :)
I know exactly how you feel. Whenever I hear Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King I always think about jaguars.
Same
@@Arigriphantua Thing is, that would fit wolves better, too: wolves are monogamous and mate for life. Lions are polygamous.
@@Arigriphantua when i listen to this song I think about the ice age megafuna
I love this movie~ and this song is awesome!
Is there a higher quality version available anywhere?
Announcer:
The world is full of magic.
Winter turns to spring.
Small things become big.
One thing always changes into another.
Phil Collins:
Great Spirits are all who lived before. Take our hands and lead us. Fill our hearts and souls with all you know.
This song is beautiful ♥️
His version made me cry ..his voice is amazing I love her version but this ..if only people could see from all sides
I like this better than Tina Turner's version. But that's cause i like Phil so much i think
I never listen such a great and philosophical song nowdays. I am 23 now, and i listened to this song when i was around 10,

The only disney film that made me burst into tears
The story of peace death redemption and friendship
The only film where the good guy is the bad as well...but not his actual fault
THIS MOVIE DESERVES MORE CREDIT!!!!!!! AND MAY THE GREAT SPIRITS SEE THIS MESSAGE 🐻
What about the lion king?
@@alexyoutubechannel8175 well scar was obviously the bad guy all along
So Brother Bear is one of the Disney films where one of the characters is the villain!
Denahi is the bad but not his actual fault that the bear he tried to killed is Kenai all the long!
The intro is damn mighty!!
The main theme of Brother Bear: Empathy.
Who else agrees with me?
A theme of learning how empathy and love are powerful forces, but also the wisdom in understanding that our actions impact and affect others.
As this version of the song states: "Teach our children to look deeper than the surface; to see the world through another's eyes. To be blind beyond yourself is to look but not see, and knowing much is not enough to be wise."
If this version was on Spotify, I'd definitely add it to my hiking playlist
Same
LOVE THIS!!!
Dam I miss this song so much 2022
Phil Collins vs. Tina Turner = Phil wins everytime!!!
This is one of those movies everyone hated but I liked.
People hated it!? :o
It's the best disney movie in my opinion!
@@samlesserofficial Yes.
@@samlesserofficial I agree.
Phil Collins, ya did good.
There's Bambi, there's Tod, there's Simba, there's Balto, there's Spirit, and then there's Kenai.
This movie is almost as old as me lol. Why did the final cut NOT have Phil?
im older than this movie by 6 years
Omg this version is just as good as Tina Turner's
My kids will also grow up to this!
Even though I love this version, I prefer the Tina Turner version because I grew up with it.
I respect the Bear in every way
I love this song ❤❤❤
Beauty
This isn't on the CD! Man, I wish it was
Can you believe this movie is going to be 18 years old in November
Can we make Earth great again? So that it used to be like in its glory days before humanity screwed everything up?
this is a song about unity people
♥ I LOVE IT ♥ *-*
This version was most likely completely omitted from the movie and most versions of the soundtrack because it's "too liberal". People disgust me …but this song gives me hope.
Actually, I think this version of the song was possibly considered too spoiler-ish. After all, the Tina Turner version is featured at the beginning of the movie.
+Philo Wintercoat How is this song liberal? I'm kinda against all the "never hunt or cut down a tree stuff" but i liked this song, Perhaps I got a different message.
***** The song is about loving kindness and fairness to all people.
Enlightenment, altruism, etc.
How does that make it liberal?
***** When's the last time you heard a conservative person preaching these things without referencing religion?
I wish there was a full version of the one we heard in the trailer. This is basically the version from the final film but Phil Collins is singing.
I preferred this version than the one on the film! It should have been used first as a callback to “Two Worlds” from Tarzan!
To bad you can’t buy this one on iTunes and the one they do have you have to buy the whole album
Why cant they just make beauty like this anymore in the movies?
I'm not a religious man but I would swear collins' voice was a blessing from god himself
WHO THE FUCK HATES THIS!? I DARE YOU TO DISLIKE AGAIN! I DARE YOU!...
They robbed us of using this version in the movie!
Greeting from Canada.Best salut for the indigneous people!
