I started watching your channel from Jacks channel. I’m and older disabled lady (56) was not really into fixing remodeling old vehicles but after watching so many of your videos I have become interested in watching you and Jack bring things back to life! It’s very interesting to me! Thank you for amazing videos.

Just bought a 71 at auction last weekend. Got it fired up in about 15 minutes. Not idling or anything but at least it made noise. The solenoid pooped after that. Spent the next day cleaning and power washing the inside and outside. It sat in a tree row for 30 years and is full of mice. I need to pull the dash out to finish the cab. Got the carb pulled last night for rebuild and have a box of parts coming from rock auto.

Old man here..... The 360 FE was a workhorse engine... Never was meant for speed or racing.... Even tho if built right could be a ok race engine... The 360 was a powerplant for torque.... In granny gear and foot off the throttle with a properly set carb you can literally getout of the truck and walk beside it while it drives itself... Ranchers used to hook flatbed trailers to them during hay season and you can getout throw bales onto the trailer and walk an entire line of bales then jumpin kick it in neutral stack the bales well flip around & do the next line... I have seen these trucks climb insane inclined hills in granny gear & literally rip down barns and big sheds with their torque

Boy that truck and I have something in common, we are exactly the same age 😂😂 June babies. The only ford I’ve ever owned was a 1976 F150 dent side. Started with a 360 went to a 390 bored 60 over, RV cam, 360 heads and a 2 barrel intake. Built that engine just like all the chevys I owned. That truck would fly for a 4x4. That could be a 352 or a 360. Same block, different bore. I drove a 66 F-100 for a few years and it had the 352, and three on the tree. That 352 big block has so darned much torque that, even climbing switchbacks up into the mountains, I could just leave it in 3rd, and it would accelerate right up the grade.
